Post subject:  Well this just got confusing...
So I match up with this pretty cute chick on Tinder, open her up, and then this happens...

I was, in fact, not the one who was calling her "Barbie". I did go to where she works for a friend's birthday Sunday night, but didn't even speak to this girl. I saw her working, thought she was cute, and didn't even know I had swiped her right on Tinder.

And I have no idea where to go with this. Ideally, I'd like to get the number as soon as possible, so I was thinking about going with, "Barbie, that wasn't me... Let me get your number and we can discuss my imposter".

Any other ideas on how to keep this girl interested? Thanks.

I like the Barbie angle.

She sort of looks like a Barbie doll.

Not sure how long it's been since you posted this... your evil twin storyline won't work well if too much time passes though, so jump on that if it's relatively recent and you haven't launched into other topics yet.

In my limited dealings on Tinder I've had success building enough interest then telling girls they'd been selected to receive text messaging instead of Tinder messaging... And that I was an awesome texter, so they should be really pumped (I'm really not that wonderful)... At the time you couldn't send pictures through Tinder though... not sure if that's still the case. That was another added bonus of texting, however.

That silly tactic (and it is silly and really not that awesome) probably was about 80% effective (for me) - although the amount of interest and comfort you've build will have an impact on that number...

That is the extent of the conversation we have had so far, she sent the last message last night while I was sleeping. I don't really like to wait too long before getting the number, but I have had mixed success asking for it sooner rather than later.

I used the "Barbie, it wasn't me... Let me get your number and we'll discuss my imposter" response, and she just responded with, "lol no it had to be you". Didn't get the number, looks like it will take more effort than I thought.

Hmm... What to say next...

Worth a shot. She's going to make you work for it a bit I guess.

I mean, it's not like she doesn't know that's what you're after. You're on Tinder for fuck sake. I'd say banter a bit and build some investment on her side... then ask again.
