Hey guys here's what's up. I should have said former friend I posted about this guy a while back when he wrecked a lighing system I had bought for my car. Anyway he is still friends with my brother my brother doesn't deal with that garage anymore, but before my incident happend he got him to do some work on the front end of his truck. Long story short he did a shotty job knew it wasn't right said fuck it good enough, and sent him on his way. Not only putting me and my brother at risk, but also leaving us with a bill for close to $2000 between parts labor and tow truck. My brother isn't a confrontational person, but I have no problem standing my ground and taking care of it. Now the question I have is if I go to the owner with another thing that his mechanic screwed up guy is gonna lose his job. At the moment he's going through a tough time divorce selling his place and what not, but the simple fact is this is not the 1st time he's done shotty work and this time he put both my brother and I at risk therefore I think he should lose his job. That will be the end of any friendship with him I don't care. This is gonna make his personal life even worse, but the simple fact is you can't do shotty work and put ppl at risk. Maybe I'm letting my nice guy get in the way I should just have a fuck you attitude you knowingly put me at risk now you're gonna pay for it. I know this isn't a pick up situation, but I could use some advice. Thanks! |

Hey Gun, I don't see why you would get him fired without talking with him first. Tell him you know he's going through tough times and you want to be kind to him but, he did a shitty, and if he is willing to fix it you won't go to his boss and let him know. Be a bro man.. You sound bitter. |

Thanks for the advice brother I appreciate it, but with my lighting system I tried calling him and left msg's for a week he didn't return my call leaving me no choice, but to go to his boss. That was a pain the ass. This time is different his shitty work got my brother and I stranded on a highway in an alaskan snow storm no lie! I'll try talking to him 1st I won't lie I'm really fucking bitter, but the thing that pisses me off is he had no problem calling it good and putting my brother and I at risk what kind of friend is that? I look at it as if what if that were someones brakes he said fuck it good enough and that person couldn't stop at a rad light and ended up hurt or worse? You're right though I'm gonna calm down talk to him with a cool head give him a chance, but if he doesn't make it right then I'm gonna have no choice, but to go to his boss, but that will be on him. |

If it put our life at risk he's probably doing the same shit to other people. If his work on cars is going to put peoples lives at risk there's only one course of action dude. You really shouldn't be asking here. If he's going through all that shit at the moment that's his bosses concern. He should give him a break, give him lesser work that won't put people at risk until he gets his shit together. If he's a good manager he most likely will take his personal issues into consideration and pull him back from any serious jobs until he gets himself together. Again, report him: There's no excuse for putting another's life at risk. |
