Post subject:  [Solved] Putting people in their place.

Right from the start: I want no pity.

Frequently I am one of the crowd. The moment I don't control myself I fall into wallflower mode. But rarely I have good experiences with women and am more confident, which I radiate.

There is this supermarket I've been going to for 6 years regularily. They know me, I know them.

But each time I am in a good mood, happy - which is as I mentioned rare - or with a good looking woman, flirting, and I am there to sign my receipt to verify that my signature on my ec-card is valid, the male cashier(it's always a male cashier when the following happens) tells me that my signature was wrong.

Whenever I feel bad, that never happens.

To clarify, my signature looks the same.

So I hope everyone realizes by now that this is a means by the cashier to make me be the good old submissive shit again that makes him feel better and in control again.

I know this. I know what is going on. I say: "No, it's the right signature" but my body goes immediately into old habits.

Does anyone have an idea how to use this opportunity to grow?

The cashier knows that his power over you is to bring you back into your worst, depressed, state. He is using that against you and demonstrating his dominance over you in the way. My best advice to you is, do not be bothered by him. Do not let what he says or does bother you. Once you demonstrate that he has a negative effect on you, he has won control over you. You should not get angry either. Calmly tell him that it is the right signature, and that if it isn't that you would like to see if the manager has the same opinion. Put the cashier back in his place.

This is great, especially the "Well, why don't you call your manager to see if he has the same opinion about this?" WILL put him in his place. Especially with more and more people queueing up and listening. I will use that. Thanks.

He will learn his lesson. Deliberately holding up a line because of a signature he knows matches is bad for business. The fact that the act slows down service is possibility the best way to back that claim up. His manager will make this apparent to him, and the cashier will refrain from doing this in the future.
