Post subject:  Tinder (dating app) - how to reply, and where did I go wrong
I try not to post this sort of stuff often because I think it's trial and error; learn and fail but now I'm a bit stumped. I've had some success with Tinder before, meeting 6 girls and sleeping with 2 of em. How do I reply to this?

Me: You look nice but do you have anything going for you besides your looks?

Her: I study a biological sciences degree, spent the last summer doing work on the glaciers in Norway but I'm currently working on cancer SPAM..that's nothing really about me but yeah I'm certainly not all about looks.. that's probably why I'm not on here much as judging people based on looks isn't really my thing. How about you? :)

Now I was surprised at getting an essay back. I showed my friend and she told me I was put in my place lol. I guess her opinion was, I asked if she has anything going for her and she comes back with all this 'great' stuff (curing cancer, apparently). What's a good reply back?

1: To acknowledge that it's a bit cool but also ask if that actually means she's fun?
2: To ask if she's also a writer because of the essay she just gave me and then answer her question about me
3: something else

I don't know whether I should acknowledge that her stuff is cool, dismiss it completely or a mix...

Now, where did I go wrong on these other 2:

1st woman: older (38 to me being 22), says she's 'Mad and dizzy' on her profile and seems like a bit of a wilder older lady.

Me: You look like a fun woman Jo. Tell me I'm right?
Her: Lol. Like to think I am x
Me: I like that. Are you out now?
Her: Nah indoors watching tv. You? X
Me: Oh Jo you're beraking my heart. TV doesn't sound very mad and dizzy

No more replies. Did I play too many games? Try to qualify too much and she got fed up? Should I have had some more normal convo in there (cool, what are you watching?). A bit disappointed this died here cause I thought she was hot


Second woman: has 2 mutual friends

Me: Hey, if you know xxx and xxx I'll bet you went to xxx school?
Her: Nah I didn't actually aha I know them through a friend
Me: Oh got it wrong lol. So where is it you live? It's saying 3 miles away

Me: Ahh a local girl. I live in [place]. So what are a couple of cool things about you?

Her: Haha! Yeah a lot of people say that when I say that or they see it!

Her: Aha! What a random name. Added you x

She sends me a couple of pics, one of her belly includes her in a little top and her underwear

And then I snapchatted her a day after with no response. She hasn't texted or anything. Any thoughts? I thought she was quite eager after sending me a pic of her in her underwear

Hey man Im also on the same boat as you. Im experiencing and playing with online dating after I've read the ultimate texting guide by Braddock from love system. So far you are much more successful than I am. Im using okcupid and so far no date yet. I think girls are very flakey, so you dint do anything wrong they are just not that interested in the first place. I think it all depends on how attractive u are in your profile, so good looking ppl get more advantages here. Do u mind sharing ur story about how u got 6 dates and how u became successful?

She is 38. Home alone watching TV. I would have made plans with her for the same night and fuck her asap. Also you told her basically that she is doing boring stuff. While you are basically doing the same thing.

You get her in a good mood to chat and flirt with you (sending pictures) and then you leave her. Again you should aim to meet up asap. She is obviously horny.

I think you are making this difficult for yourself.

I started off with interesting(ish) messages (sometimes using this opener survival-guide-for-online-dating-vt126158.html), teased em, used push/pull to show interest then pull away... Some things I think worked for me were:

1. Going for the number early. It's easy to dismiss someone on Tinder if that's all they are, but if you get their number and make sure you CALL the person you're much more significant to them and they won't just stop messaging you (in my experience)

2. Going for the meet up straight away. You're not trying to be pen pals, so don't just chat... Go for the meet up early and rather than say 'wanna meet up?' make cocky references to the date before setting it up 'I hope you're not gonna be like this on our date', 'So when are you free to buy me a drink?' ...

3. Just like everyone on Tinder and decide who you want to take things further with after. I think unless you're really good looking you're not gonna get many matches if you're dead picky. Also, practice your routine on everyone you get a match with so you find out what works for you and what doesn't. Getting their phone number might be a good point to get to before stopping (if you don't wanna meet em)

Cheers dude that makes a lot of sense. I think you're right and I misread the situation with the older lady, sounds like she might have been hinting at hooking up...
