I'm not really sure about Facebook game - wasn't even trying to game this girl at all, though technically we've had two hangouts setup in the past, and each one of us flaked on the other once. She posted on her wall asking about tattoo places, I mentioned an artist that I know of who is one of the best in the state. I send her a PM, saying the following: Me: [TATTOO SHOP] is the third best tattoo shop in the state, and their shop is positively clinical. If you're looking for quality, go there. Her: Thanks so much for the help Me: No problem Is this an approach cue? Or just harem maintenance flirtiness on her part? She's a waitress at a couple of bars I've been to, and most of the times I'm at those bars, I have a woman with me. I technically have her number too, but we're sorta different people (I'm white collar professional, she's party/bartender girl, but getting older ~25ish) I know the obvious default option is to take it as an approach cue and make a move. But I'm asking from more of a realistic, "what is actually going on" angle, so I can better recognize the difference in the future. Or is this unknowable? tl;dr: Does a winky face on a Facebook PM constitute an IOI/approach cue. |

"Is the third best tattoo shop in the state, be there or be a dork"Or something like that. You started authoritative and then started qualifying yourself. |

I'm not quite seeing how I qualified myself? I basically said, "If you don't want a shitty tattoo, go to this place". But I'm mostly concerned about the winky face. |

Yeah, I didn't think so, but it just seemed odd that she'd do it as she hasn't before.
