Hey, guys. It's comon sense you should be a gentleman and avoid being a nice guy, but where do you set the line? I'll give you a few situations: You and a HB reach a door at the same time. Do you enter and hold the door, hold the door and let her pass or let her open the door? You and a colegue are walking to/from your cars. You have nothing to carry. She has her purse and a laptop and mentions the laptop is heavy. Do you offer to carry it? And if she refuses, do you insist? And many other situations, like car rides, ofering your seat on the bus, ofering your umbrella, help with asignments, etc? I mean, where do you stop being a gentleman and start being a pushover? |

No, being a nice guy is alright. Being a walk over AFC is the wrong way to go. There's a definitive difference between being "nice" and being an AFC who happens to be nice. An AFC won't make a move or escalate. A nice guy who isn't an AFC will make a move and escalate, he'll set himself aside from everyone else and demonstrate where his interests lie. |

If you're doing nice things to get people to like you... That's the definition of a "nice guy." If you're doing nice things because you like to do nice things for people... That's a gentleman. I like to hold doors open for people. But I don't discriminate against who I'm going to hold a door open for based on the way they look or me being desperate for people to like me. I like to do nice things for people and not expect anything in return. |

Don't get up into your head to much about being soo nice to her or being a gentleman. Be casually nice, while making the impression on a girl that your needs are important also. And make "being nice" to girls their reward for when they do things for you and treat you with respect. |

Yup, so many guys walking around out there going "I DO NICE THINGS FOR YOU, Y U NO SLEEP WITH ME!?" which just gives off a "selfish" and "only being nice because you want sex" vibe to women when being aloof/a dick/won't put up with her shit shows her you want more than that.Quote: If you're doing nice things because you like to do nice things for people... That's a gentleman.
Exactly. I say this to guys that say the generic "Oh I'm just going to be a dick to women now. It looks like it works."Being a dickhead = Yeah there's a possibility you'll get laid/hook a girl but you need to basically BECOME a dickhead. Do you want to be a dickhead? Alpha + Nice Guy = GET DAT PUSSY WET AS FUCKKKK! Beta + Nice Guy = If you get laid. she's gonna have issues and probably lure you into a pregnancy trap. Quote: I like to hold doors open for people. Exactly. I try to do the "right" under any circumstances. Even if it involves physical personal injuries.Good way to tell if a guy is a beta. If he see's a dude getting pounded on, he won't do anything. Whereas an alpha will try to stop it. |
