Hey guys, this has been on my mind since this event happened, about a year and a half ago. I would like some advice on how to handle situations like this.

So, the story. I was with a good buddy of mine, just hanging out on campus. So he gets a call from one of his friends and he suggests that we go meet up with them in the cafeteria. (Keep in mind that I've never met either of his friends before.) So we meet up with them, and I introduce myself to them both. One of the first things this guy says to me (let's call him douche) is

"Hey you look like that dude from that one movie. (It wasn't a compliment, let's just say that.)

He elbows his friend (douche 2) and says ,"dude doesn't he look just like him?!"

"Yeah man he kind of does!"

They're not saying it in a way to be "hurtful" but they were laughing and I was pretty dumbfounded over the situation. My buddy and the douchers talk for a few minutes then douche 1 says to me

"Wow why do you have a camel toe?"

I didn't really have one, but again, I was at a loss for words. Literally. Just standing there not saying anything.

I really want to know how to handle situations like these, while it rarely happens, I still want to be prepared, because they really catch me off guard. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Just don't react to them. If they are as immature as children, treat them as children. I would just ignore them.

Use a pattern breaker if it's just random dudes and no threat of violence.

Hey Dane,

Guys only continue to pick at you when they see they are getting understand your skin. Its called a social test to see if you're cool enough to be apart of the club.

Now if you would of just answered with " Haha yeah. I get that all of the time. I'm Dane :)" They'll love you and you'll be in. They won't even mention it again. If you get all upset; it shows your weakness and its a natural human instinct to prey on weakness; especially amongst competitors.

I wouldn't worry about it bro; perhaps you do look like the guy. So what? How does that affect your life in any way?

You'll be straight.

Deaf ear, single word response (Naw), or make them repeat themselves

OH LORD MAKE THEM REPEAT THEMSELVES.

I snickered.

Instances like these are too unique for us to comment. The ribbing is always unique and you've got two seconds to say something back. In this case it's too late and anything we say is Monday morning quarterbacking.

Oh, well, what the hell? "I specifically told your mother not to share that movie with anyone..."
