Post subject:  Indirect vs. Direct at College

Hi, Im new to the forum (and game in general). Came out of an LTR a while back and I have decided to try and meet some new people.

My issue might be trivial but I would appreciate any help. I have seen this girl around and am currently mustering up the courage to approach. Im at college studying at the library and this girl caught my attention last week. We were studying at different tables close by and made eye contact a few times. Since then, she has sat beside me every day even though the place is quite empty and there are loads of free seats (this may just be some territorial thing, I dunno). Anyway, sometimes we make eye contact and smile or whatever and I'd like to ask her out.

Do you reckon a situation like this calls for indirect game considering we havent really spoken and its quite a public place, or could I catch her on her way out with a "hey, ive got to get back studying but I just wanted to say...". My original plan was to drop a note on her desk when she wasnt around but this doesnt seem as ballsy as actually talking.

Any help would be appreciated, I understand that getting blown out may be probable but I'd prefer it to doing nothing!

Definitely use your words. Since you two have seen each other around a good conversation would probably work best. It says a lot. Just say, with confidence,
"Hey, I'm [Name]."

....hold out your hand for her to shake, wait for her to say her name...

"Is that homework hard? That sucks. Let's take a quick study break."

Then just have a regular conversation. Ask her for her number. She'll probably give you a shit test
(I have a bf, you give me your number, and so on). Just blow past them.
