Quick little situation here: Haven't talked to this girl in a while. Never hit it, but would love to so I texted her the other night. Wont go into detail with the texts but it went accordingly. Towards midnight she texted me last and said: "Can I come stay with u one weekend". I was drunk by this point, and luckily didnt look at my phone to respond. So I sent something back in the morning saying: "Yeah just let me know when". Didnt hear from her that day, and now 2 more days have passed by. So 3 days since I talked to her. I understand that she might have thought I was ignoring her when she asked to stay with me because it took me until next morning to respond, but wtf. Do I wait it out and see if she hits me back up, or should I just try text her tomorrow. I know Im not supposed to seem desperate, but I also cant seem completely uninterested. I know she wants me to chase her, but the trick is how much. Thanks everybody |

I'm gonna assume there's attraction between you two. I would ask her out with a specific date and time... invite her over and put the ball in your court. If she flakes who cares? I would try 4 times at most (few days in between texts) if she still flakes move on. |

I think your response "Yeah just let me know when" was a little bit too short, like "whatever". You should have answered with a question like "Sure, when would that be?". You could also have "repaired" the situation within a couple of hours by sending her a new text: "About that weekend. Do you have something specific in mind?". Now, since some time has passed (I assume), you have to invite her to some activity. Either a date, or to something you have planned doing anyway (that can be the impression you give her, at least), with or without your friends, depending on the situation. |

Was in the exact situation once and said the exact same thing which got the same non response as you. I learned that instead you need to take control and set a date and invite her over. After reinitiating over text, "I'm busy next weekend but what about X weekend" for example. |

I agree with ocean. The first thing that jumped at me was your response. It seemed to me almost like a brush off. I've learned the only way to be with women is confident and direct with a bit of mystery. Good luck!! |

" Yeah just let me know when" ???? You're the man.. Lead her and set it up. Don't leave it up to her make this happen. Women barely know how to make up their minds as it is. Also you didn't say anything that required an immediate response; you just left open to whenever she feels like she wants to do it. There was no show on your part that you had an interest in her staying the weekend. Girls don't read messages the way that we do. They read into shit and draw conclusions. I'd just call her today or tomorrow and figure it out... Call, not text. |

Yeah thinking about it now, I definitely realized that my response may have come across as a bit stand-offish. I texted her about an hour ago but no response yet. If I dont get one I'll probably give her a call later today to set something up. Thanks to everyone |
