Post subject:  can you stop her going back to her ex?
basically this girl broke up with her ex about 6 weeks ago and we've been chatting and arranged dates but lately shes gone a bit cold so ive backed off, im pretty sure her ex is back in the picture. is there any thing I can do to prevent her going back? ive been told to go cold on her? wont that just open the door to him? would really appreciate some advice.

To start with you can't make anyone do anything. All you _can_ do is make sure you stay interesting enough that what she wants is you.

The problem here may not even be her ex, it might be that she just lost interest. Hell, you might have just been her transition guy and now she's transitioned.

She'll probably return to you when things go sour with him, but that'll only be for leverage so she can feel on her feet.

Sometimes you just have to get rid of them man; if you valued yourself more you wouldn't be worried about a girl that is worried about someone else.

Don't chase her.... talk to other women,.. if she comes back you can consider going forward but you really can't make her do anything. Chances are she's not worth the trouble.
