| Post subject: | When a girl asks for advice about her image. |
A few days back a girl I work with said she wants to change her hairstyle and showed me a few pics on that interweb thing to check my opinion. She was undicided between red or black, I said black works better because it goes well with her blue eyes and light skin tone. She also asked about the cut and I suggested something more on the long and straight side, because she is tall and skinny. After that she comented guys ususlly only say stuff like "you would look good either way", and I replied that whoever says that are either insecure boys who want her aproval at any cost, or guys who only want to flatter her in order to fuck her. I on the other hand actilly care that she looks good, so I gave her good advice. Unrelated (or maybe not) later that day another girl from work asked my opinion on a few nail polish colors. Now, poin 1, I am not gaming any of the two; point 2, I am not the "gay friend", in fact one of them has called me a player more than once and I am kinda known as the office player. But, from a PUA point of view, would this be the best strategy if a girl you are in fact gaming ever asks stuff like that? Cheers! |

You probably are the gay friend.Ok ok , jokes aside I'm not entirely sure what your question is. As far as why she chose to ask you these questions , you pretty much answer that yourself. And if by strategy you mean actually giving her something other than the AFC trademark "Oh you'd look just perfect either way" then yes , that's pretty much common sense. |

You played it good. You showed them how unique you were to the other types of guys (the majority). Thanks for the advice by the way, I've always struggled with the questions women asked about themselves and I always came up with the answer "they both look good", but what you said was really beneficial. |

Glad to help. As I said, I am not gaming any of them, I am in a relationship. But I do work with them, so besides wanting something nice to look at, having my female coworkers look their best has a positive repercussion on my own image and professional reputation. And besides, I have de bad habit of indeed caring about the ones who are close to me. Call it loyalty, if you will. That is why I answered honestly and tried to give them the best advice possible. But then I started wondering... what if I was gaming them? How could I have turned this situation to my advantage? Guess the best strategy is to keep honest (like I did), so you show you are not an AFC, that you genuinely care about her (even if you don't) and if ir goes well, you can even come up as a smart/elegant/fashion conneiseur kind of guy. Although, in a gaming situation, a couple negs thrown in the midle can't harm. |

Handled it perfectly! A guy knowing a little something about makeup/style can go a long way. Like she said most guys just say the typical "you'd like great either way" but you made a decision and explained why you thought that one was best, that instantly sets you apart from most other guys. |
