I want to do the "newbie challenge," but I live in an area with no shopping mall nearby. The only place I see women is the starbucks near where I am staying. A lot of the girls are very pretty, but being that I suffer from severe social anxiety and cant do the newbie challenge to kill it, I dont know how I am going to improve my game. You might say to just go up and talk to them, but how? Just go up to them where they sit and say "hi?" |

If girls are in starbucks, then girls must also at some point be walking around. If you're really shy, just start by saying hi and smiling at people as you walk past. You can then just carry on walking if thye ignore you, and the very worst thing that can happen is that you don't even break stride! When someone ignores your hi and smile, and you walk 10 yards further down the road and realise nobody gives a shit that you've just been ignored, you then get your composure back and start to think wtf were you worrying about in the first place. When you get more confident in saying hi to strangers then you can go up to girls in starbucks (or just do this straight away anyway). Yeah just go and say hi and introduce yourself. Say you just saw her sitting there on her own (or having fun in a group, whatever) and you wanted to go over and say hi. If you need to, just have a fall back option ready, something like asking for directions to somewhere - you can try and make this something interesting so it piques the girl's interest and leads into a conversation. |

Yep. Just say "Hi!" with a nod. |

I would go to her table and sit right across from her... well that's if she doesn't look too heavy into her work. |
