PUA Forum :: What does it mean when she says "my boyfriend..."

Lately I've been opening girls, talking, building rapport, kino, and somewhere into the conversation they will drop something like, "my boyfriend and i went there" or "my boyfriend likes that." Sometimes it's even after I moved the set to another location! It's never like "I have a boyfriend please stop talking to me" but more like "I have a boyfriend but keep talking to me..." And I was wondering how they guys here calibrate this "subtle" boyfriend drop in conversation. The different scenarios could be a) she has a boyfriend she just wants to enjoy meeting someone, B) she has a boyfriend and maybe interested in something else (long or short term), and c) doesn't have a boyfriend, could be a shit test. Maybe there are others I haven't thought about.

So how do we figure out what is what here? And if it is a shit test, how do we pass it? thx.

If you get this regularly it's a fault in your game, maybe you're dragging it out too long and they begin getting bored with you, so they drop the boyfriend line hoping you'll go away. That's my guess, you probably get off to a decent start so they give you a chance, then you don't advance on that, they get bored, then try and get you to leave. More escalation, more kino, K-close earlier, etc etc, keep the momentum going, don't let it stall, don't get stuck in mid-game.

Could be a shit test. I would try to find out if she really has a boyfriend. Say like this does seem like a really nice place/thing then ask her something like how long have you been together or does your boyfriend mind if we're together? Or be a little cocky and say oh really? You mean your imaginary boyfriend? Oh yeah what does he look like? If it's true then just keep it up and ask her if she has any hot friends you could bring with you to that place. If it's a shit test it should throw her off, it shows that 1) you are a person of moral values and 2) she has lower values for flirting with you.

Seriously: Just totally ignore it. The "I have a boyfriend" line is also the "Magic line to get rid of losers" line. If you approach HB9+'s you will hear this 99% of the time. Just barrel through without giving any reaction whatsoever. The girl thinks "WTF I've read this situation wrong" and starts fishing for validation: Make her earn it.

Yes, it is possible to get girls who say they have boyfriends (and girls who actually have them) but it is MUCH HARDER AND NOT WORTH THE EFFORT. boyfriend is not a "shit test" it is almost always an IOD. The only reason PUA shit tries to pound into your head that it doesn't matter if a girl says she has a boyfriend is to sell pick up products because guys wanting some girl who has a boyfriend is REALLY REALLY common.

All legit replies thank you, I gotta work on my mid-game for sure, that may solve everything right there. It sounds like each situation is going to be a little bit different, I'm going to try out all these suggestions and see what happens!
