So in the past few weeks I've heard from about 4 girls who I was not actively pursuing say something along the lines of "you're a really great guy". Mind you i'm not interested in any of these girls or was hinting at trying to get with them. . So it wasn't like hey i'm letting this guy who's trying to get with me down easy , it was more just random. For example I went out with a new group of people for a few nights and then I had to go back to school (probably won't see them for a while or ever), anyways as I said goodbye to everyone, one girl in the group says..."hey I want you to know you're a really good guy, you should add me on fb blah blah blah". A similar situation happened the week before that too. Then this past week I heard from one girl I know really well say to me "you're a great guy idk how you're single" . A few days later another girl I know was moving outside the country and says to me drunk the night before she leaves " you're a really good guy & I really want you to know that, keep in touch etc.. " So the real question is that I don't know whether I should take this positively or negatively, first of all I think its really odd and random especially in the context and situations in which it was said.... and its making me wonder if im giving off a certain vibe and that worries me in a way cause of the negative stigma of being labeled a "nice guy"..i dont really know what to make of it, any ideas? |

In this context it sounds good. I.e., "Why are you single? Are you looking? I want you to be looking for that special girl, who is me." You are confusing this with, "You're a nice guy, but..." which more or less means, "you haven't been a dick to me, but I think you're pretty beta and I don't believe you can fuck me properly." |

Being called a great guy is not a bad thing especially if they are not LJBF's right off the bat. I get called this all the time, espicially since I work with kids. If they say this and you want to pursue them then you should. Some women are looking for good guys, some are looking for players and most have no idea what they want. Continue to be you and see what becomes of it. Just don't be so nice that your afraid to bang girls you don't really have an imediate interest in for a relationship...you never know what could develop. |
