Hi when talking to a girl, are you supposed to be looking into her eyes at all times? I have often caught myself looking behind her or around her. so for example, she might ask me "what do you do?" and I start looking around, either behind her, or to her left, or to her right. does this show lack of confidence? should I be looking at her throughout the entire interaction? |

Don't look around. If you can't hold eye contact or feel self conscious about holding eye contact(It can be intimidating if it's not natural for you) just look over her left shoulder and keep the gaze there. Use eye contact when you close though, that's a must. |

Always err on the side of too much eye contact if eye contact is a sticking point for you. Don't worry about being creepy for now, worry about maintaining eye contact.

Too much before too little. Especially in situations where a girl is considering fucking you (which should be most situations, with girls you like), testing your eye contact is almost a game you can play to be like, "Yes. I am leader here. I can control your soul with my eyes. What's up." Unflinchingly looking a girl directly in the eyes when you talk to her is a huge demonstration of dominance, power, and status. |

It needs to be normal eye contact, not a staring contest. That's worth noting. You can blink, smile, change which eye you focus on from time to time just as long as you hold that contact... just don't make it a staring contest. |

In addition to what everyone said (those are all good, btw), here are some I use infield and used before in my career for marketing/business development job roles:
