I originally posted in relationship section but I wasn't sure if that'st he best place for it Long story short, LDR gf of 3 years left. major reason was I didn't move with her (3 hour drive away, bi-weekly visits) head wasn't on strait, made stupid reactions to the breakup, pissed her off, broke all ties etc. Attempted damage control, surprise-visited her 2 weeks later to create a new "last talk" that favored me better. It was poorly (actually horribly) received on her part, but I think I came out strong. sure enough, she contacted me this morning. nothing major but I need to know how to play this. 7:40am: "I have a shirt and one of your pairs of socks if you want them." 5:27pm: "You need to tell me if you still want the damn thing or not before I throw it away" The first message was calm, second message is back to her angry mode. She thinks im still in town but I left right after our talk, so arranging a meetup isnt an option. What do i do? |

Depends on what you want ? Want to move on and get a new girl? then message "Throw them out and throw out my number as well, bye" Do you want to cling on to her in the hope that she will change her mind about you(will never happen) "Im out of town, keep them till I come back,cya" |

Do you want to cling on to her in the hope that she will change her mind about you(will never happen) "Im out of town, keep them till I come back,cya" Like i said, ultimate goal with my current mindset is "whatever i can do that creates the best possible chance of having a future with her" is what I'm after. I have accepted that i'll have to do the "go cold and vanish, focus on me" thing, but if i can have a chance at the future then i'll take it. There's proper ways to set those pieces up in hopes that they show results, thats what i want here. I like the idea of maybe later, i'll probaly go with that then vanish |

Considering you made two posts, about the same subject and given what you have already stated about the last meeting and the desperate "I'll be in town for 5 days" stuff I would say there is no way you are in the mind set to meet her. I'm sure she already knows you want her back no need to reaffirm that with a meeting to get back shirts and socks. Why not just text her back that you'll pick them up next time you around her way? |

yes, i already admit my bad on the double thread, I needed an answer fast n didn't know if I posted in the right place. anyway, you're obviously right (I'm not stupid), I avoided any agreement to meeting up. said something along the lines of "After your trip maybe" (shes leaving for a month soon), she responded wth if not now theyre in the trash. I said id prefer she hold them until i get the rest of my stuff (she has other stuff she already agreed to give back) but if thats her choice then so be it. "I wish you the best. bye" wast he end of it. don't intend on contacting her again, at least not in the immidiate future (potentially an attempt months n months downt he line, but i'm going cold as it's my only choice with any positive expectations) |

why don't you want to move in with her ? She wants commitment. If you are not ready for it then leave forever. Your call. |
