| Post subject: | how to get a social life and start partying? |
Hey! I'm 17 and i want to start partying, i've been to a few but i do not get invited to many. What do i do to start the life with partying and many friends and so on? It's frustrating to hear about parties thet where in the weekend on mondays, i want to be at the parties, any tips? I don't like to do too awekward things to be invited. Thanks? |

To attend parties you should throw parties. And don't use the Hollywood archetype. A party is just a group of people enjoying themselves. Four is fine for a party. Then you try to add more people by making new friends. Also don't believe that people even want to party. Some don't. Go to other places that are fun. But collect a lot of numbers and be organized. Eventually you will be able to just send out a text and ten people will come but do not be discouraged if they don't. Some people are like that. Just make more friends. Also you need to come off as a fun person when meeting the new people. |

This ^^ Here's what happens when you throw a party man... Say you invite 4 people (like suggested) and tell them to feel free to bring some people with. Word spreads. Say each of those 4 people brings 1 friend along with. You now have 8 people. You mingle with them. Exchange contact info. If you throw some sick ass parties where everyone is having a good time, people will come back to your next party. The next one, you invite those 8 people, tell them to bring whoever they want. Say they each bring one person, you now have 16 people at your party. Rinse and repeat... Your next party you have 25-30+ people. The next party you are looking at 50-60+ people. Do you see where that is going? Now, you are the guy who is know for having the kick ass parties. |

I am not allowed to have big parties at my house, I live with my parents. And the last time my sister had a party, things got destroyed. So that is a little bit stupid. I want but here it's gangs going around just to fuck up parties and destroy shit, that sucks aand is one of the reasons i cant have a party. Is there any other way? |

Just give up then. Why do people think they can lead Tony Stark lifestyles and still live with their parents is beyond PEBBLE logic. However, if you just want to be invited to other people's parties then just be the cool guy, be part of activities/communities that will make get invited by default. For example...being part of a football team. If you're ginger though, you are fucked. They don't get invites. |

Almost every major city has some online groups (e.g. in Facebook) for meeting new people. Just search for things like Meet In [your city], English speaking group in [your city] or anything you can come up with. These groups usually host some events and parties in bars, pubs, clubs or anything else in your region. You can attend and if they don't you can create events there and ask the admins to invite the whole group. With this strategy I increased my friend list on Facebook from about 15 people to now over 80 (which I really meet in RL) in less than 3 months. With organizing some events I eventually became admin of a Prague Facebook group with over 450 members. Unfortunately I am still a socially awkward penguin. So don't get the false belief that having a social circle gets you laid automatically, but you can train your social skills in this group and eventually you might get laid. |

Ok, sounds like you're not getting invited because you're not near the top of the social hierarchy. The easiest answer is to make friends with them. Yet the issue is deeper than that...you have to establish yourself and raise your status in he hierarchy around these folks...one of the downside of being in closed establishment like school. When you're not cool within your hierarchy, make yourself cool outside of that hierarchy, then when you return...you're status will instantly be boosted. As example, if Tom Brady was this loser in high school...but came back he would be a rockstar. Now to address how get social life? You're young and folks like these are not going to be real folks in real world. Use Facebook to find out for events. Your school is not the only social life you can have...you can build it outside of it. Don't waste your time with folks who won't accept you...build it outside then return and make then regret and want to be part of yours. |
