| Post subject: | How to discourage covert DHVs? |
I mean a situation where you are in generally good terms with another guy, but he occasionally starts bothering you with demonstrations of higher value. More, you would rather avoid open conflict, making him look like an idiot, or otherwise put the acquaintanceship at risk. What is the way to discourage him from alluding to his money, status, dominant aspirations which tends to dominate in what he says - something like an advertisement break every 5 minutes? |
