Post subject:  Giving a girl to much attention
I have been talking to this girl for about 2 weeks straight now, so far we have talked everyday since we met.

Yesterday we had gone out for lunch and it turned out well, considering it was a bit rushed.

Now I am wondering if I should continue messaging/having calls with her or give it a break for a few days.

I don't want to come across to needy and desperate, so is it best if I don't talk to her for a few days?

Also she will be going out of state this weekend.

Since you got a date after talking to her everyday I do not belive "too much attention" is an issue at this stage, but still, tone it down a bit.

Personally, I would send her something like "That was fun, we should do it again sometime" after the date and another one to ask about the trip. More than that and I belive it is a bit too much.

Give her a chance to miss you a bit. If not now, it'll become necessary later, might as well set that frame now.
