What 2 books should I read next?

Post subject:  What 2 books should I read next?
So I'm pretty new to the game. As a matter of fact, I just finished reading "The Game". What should I read next? I would like to enhance my communication skills but I also want to learn some more openers and routines. That is why I was thinking about reading the Mystery Method. What about how to Win Friends and Influence People? Introducing NLP? The Social Animal?


Let me know what you guys recommend. Thanks

What 2 books should I read next?

hey. ye, i pretty much read all that stuff. the game is lame. there is nothing practical there. may be mystery methos is good for theory but it isn’t practical either.

neil straus and mystery methos are most popular. but they are not all that great. not sure why neil straus gets all the credis while mystery method is way better, may be because neil is a writer. there are some great seducers out there but they just don’t write books.

if you want you can read some of the stuff i wrote. it isn’t finished, it’s just some stuff i wrote. pm me and i give you to download.

It's funny that you mentioned both the books that I have read recently.

I have decided that "Mystery Method" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People" compliment each other rather nicely.

If you want to develop a strong social circle, How to Win Friends is excellent for that. I am already seeing some results and am gaining new friends. How to Win Friends is also good for getting to game the males and females in the group. Plus it will just overall increase your social skills!

Mystery Method is a textbook- it's a great read too. If you want a game plan, Mystery Method is pretty good. I am working on developing one skill at a time from the book, and I am starting to see results.

You can't compare the two. The Game is not a how-to book. It's an expose. Also, yes, he was a well-established writer before The Game, as well as after, that's why the book is so popular. Mystery Method is cool, but it's all theory. You still need further reading on how to apply the theory to practical terms.

The Game is good if you want to know some history about the PUA Community and how it all got started. It's about how an AFC transformed into an mPUA. If you really want to get into the game I recommend Magic Bullets. It's basically the mystery method, but I feel it's more written to be practical. After that it's just getting infield experience.

Read Double Your Dating - still a foundational classic. However I usually recommend 77 Laws of Success with woman first, the best 2 hours of understanding game you will ever hear.

If you just want classic MM like routines then read Love systems Routines manual 1 & 2.

I dont recommended "How to make Friends and influence people" That book focuses on making friends via establishing rapport, and its anti-productive in terms of building attraction. Which I can expound upon if thats confusing.

Any book suggestion is going to just engrain you in the philosophy or style of the person suggesting. Try this, go out and say hi to 20 women. Whatever happens come back and give the result. If you have AA, you can gets steps for AA(Approach anxiety). When you say hi, see what responses you're getting. Post them. Then get advice.

Why do people hate on this book? It was never marketed as a pickup book! It was written during the Great Depression and used by many successful people. If you want to make money and be successful, this is one of the most important books to read!

BTW, even though it's not a pickup book, the concepts of threatening people's ego works really well in pickup. I was already using them LONG before I even knew about the pickup community. For example, when an obnoxious girl takes my hat, I say "I don't know you too well, but I'm sure you were taught to act better than this." Or "I know I just met you just now, but you look trustworthy. Can you hold on to my drink for me as I talk to your friend here?"

Best book on self help, but not good on seduction... For fundamentals "Double your dating" is good, then for inner game "Mark Manson models" i posted the link, for sexual escalation and efficiency "60 yoc" dance floor shit, my stuff.

Oh god you read the "the game", there's an audio-book at the same place where you bought that book :P
The Game doesn't give you shit to work on, you can get a few routines from there, but it's a biography, nothing beyond that.
You can get Mystery Method (audio-book) from audible website, if you register you are able to download 1 content free and you can download this one.

But take a look at seminars that you can find over youtube or over internet.
I would recommend you to study about this topics:
- Negs
- Teasing
- Flirt
- Eye contact
- Kissing routines
- Openers
- Body language
- Down and up talk
- Rapport
- Understand when she's interested and when she's not
- How to maintain a conversation and how to make it interesting
- Routines about asking for phone numbers

From now on avoid:
- Text gaming (it doesn't work!)
- Online gaming (it doesn't work!)
- Gaming girls that you already know (it doesn't work!)

Are you talking about books on this topic don't work, or in general? I think text gaming works, because I've read text game books and I've been getting less flaky texts messages now. For online gaming, watch BradPUA's youtube presentation on plentyoffish/OKcupid game. He banged tons of girls on pof.

I have to agree on #3. If she knows you too well, you can't just out of nowhere start negging her and acting like someone new. This really sucks, cuz my game definitely improved since I started it, but it only works on strangers! The girls I really studied the game specifically FOR, it doesn't seem there's any game plans for them! The only thing that makes sense for leaving the friendzone is mentioned in Mystery Method. It says if you knwo the girl already, you have to disappear for a long period of time, and come back as a different person. If you see the girl almost every day, you can't game a girl you already know.

Well, i'm talking about everything on text gaming, i explain you why:
- You can't put your emotions or facial expressions throw text
- The girl might be having a must interesting conversations with another dudes (concurrence)
- She might be working or occupied (so she's not 100% focus on you)
- You can't kino
- You can be easily misunderstood and screwed on your game
- It only works when you have already gamed the girl in real life and she's somehow interested

Exactly, but he'll have the chance to try that to understand it better. At the beginning i tried to game girls that I've already know = no luck at all, then i tried to game the unknown friends of my girls = it's so fucking different!

Yes, but that process needs 1~2year or so, so it's a waste of time, and in 1~2 years you already forget the girl...
But still, it will become creepy, because they'll think: This guy was not like this before... and you'll get then uncomfortable.
jdubin94 If you start right away doing this pickup thing to an unknown girl she will think that it's your personality, the way you behave and she'll accept it
