Howdy.

So I want to get my ex back and I need to spin a certain distasteful situation from the past to a positive light. I was hooking up with a chick on the side while we were together. Chick becomes friends with her, and they both thought they were being cheated on etc..etc..etc..

Anyways, I told my ex even though I did sleep in the same bed with the other chick, we never did anything sexual...I just wanted to get her jealous. Don't think she's buying it...anyone want to think of a better excuse for me? :D

I'm pretty sure no matter what you say she's going to know you cheated on her. Were you guys actually an item or just dating / hooking up? If you weren't officially going out then, while some people disagree with it, you really did nothing wrong.

If you were together then you dropped the ball, either don't cheat or if you feel like you need to then don't get caught.

Your idea of putting a positive spin on it seems like a losing idea. She knows that you cheated on her, trying to lie or downplay it only makes it more insulting. The only thing you could do is to truly apologize for the wrong you have caused her, and then cross your fingers and hope for the best. You do not seem to think that you have done anything wrong in the first place, so I would recommend to forget about the whole thing and move on. Probably better for her too.
