Post subject:  Invite her, or no?

First of all, I know this is long and I know I'm way overthinking things here but I just want an opinion here.

Alright, so there's this girl from my college who I'm friends with
(both 21)and there's this music festival which I'm planning on going to Saturday. This girl posted saying "Ugh, I can't believe the organizers scheduled this bands at the same time!" and she was mad about not being able to see all the bands she wanted due to poor scheduling. A bunch of her friends responded to this status and she made plans with one of her friends to go there through the status. I posted and said "damn, I was hoping to see those bands, looks like I can only see one :(". Did I make a mistake here by not just straight up asking if she wanted to go or not, and therefore DLV? Anyways, she pretty much acknowledged every other comment on her status, but ignored mine. We're friends, but don't hang out a lot outside of school (although she's invited me to two events, which I declined due to scheduling although it seemed like she wanted me to attend the second one). So should I send her a text saying "Hey, I'm heading up to the festival on Saturday with some friends, if you want to meet up let me know" or should I just take the hint and realize that if she wanted to go with me she would've invited me herself? Thanks.

Haha so many guys do this " let me know " crap because its safe and softens the blow if she doesn't want to actually hang out with you. But the badnews is, THIS DOESN'T WORK! Stop trying to protect your ego when you are dealing with women; put your ego on the line and take a leap.

" Hey, I want to take you to the festival on saturday! :) "

Put yourself out there; if she says no the answer is no, but you still have a chance. By going after women all while protecting your ego, you're never going to get anywhere. Put yourself on the line.
