Hey. I'm temporarily living in a shared apartment with two others until the end of August. I'm attracted to my housemate and want to bang him before I move out-- ideally, close enough to the move-out date that things won't become awkward.
He's in his 30s or 40s, I think (hard to tell with people here; they age really well). Anyway, pretty sure he's older and wiser than me. We get along pretty well-- a lot of amiable banter and such-- and I know he's not gay.
He's not better-looking than me but is cooler (he's a director) and maybe a bit of a hipster/metrosexual. I think he's partly a type-A personality-- low tolerance for others' slacking and a high professional drive-- but with a mixture of sloppiness. Sleeps in late but doesn't drink. I guess the personality type that would be most successful in actually making a living in the arts.
Has anyone had experience putting the moves on a housemate-- i.e., someone that you've already established a neutral relationship with-- and are exposed to the banal, everyday, unsexy workings of each others' lives?

Before you 'put the moves' on him, you have to get him attracted to you. How would you (Or how have others in the past) rate yourself physically? The first step to any guys heart is to catch his attention with your looks.

Wear provocative clothing around him. Not too obvious but enough to get his imagination running wild. Bend over in front of him and expose cleavage, or have your thong exposed when you get up or so.

If you catch him glancing, he's interested, from there do the general things girls do when they're into a guy.

Play with your hair around him when he's talking, stare at his crotch every now and then, laugh at stupid jokes of his, and touch him on the arm when he says something he thinks is smart.

From there he should be the one to initiate it further, if he doesn't because he's timid, you can be the one to make the move. Some guys like that, but make sure the signs of interest are there first. Like the poster above said, men are very visually stimulated, so stimulate his eye sight.

Right on! Thanks for the tips, guys. I think I have the looks thing down; I'm no Swedish supermodel but I do work out a lot. But, just looking good isn't enough because this guy works in the film industry so I'm pretty sure he's used to being w/ hot girls. I want to bring something extra to the table, something more interesting/exciting besides dolling myself up, presenting myself before him and being all "Hai I'm a hotgirl, you may fuck me now." :mrgreen:
I want it to be a slow burn-- I'd like to pace it out well so that it doesn't look like I'm trying, but have a slow build-up, so hopefully by the end of the month it will super exciting. That's my usual style but I was just thinking there'd be complications since we share a living space. The challenge is that when you're living together in close quarters, it's much more difficult to hide things-- like your gross, messy side. It's hard to maintain that fantasy mystique when someone has seen your dirty laundry (metaphorically and also literally).
So that's why I was wondering if anyone had hooked up with a housemate.
Meanwhile, note to self: get thong! :wink:

honestly, I think you may be in the wrong place to get good advice about this topic. Men have experience picking up women not picking up men .. most of the advice here would be just what happens to work for that individual guy. For me, it's pretty easy, you show me interest and I would sleep with you then it will happen.. but for other guys it could be different, the hell do I know, I have never dated a guy!

Lol, yeah, I know. I usually just read forums like this, but I just thought I'd throw it out there and get some male input. Most of the "dating" advice for women is kind of lame, too limited/restrictive, or along the lines of How To Trick Him Into Marrying You. :? And I don't want to rope this guy into some kind of society-approved partnership, I just want to knock his Converse trainers off! :mrgreen:

Dont worry about the film industry thing. I work with models, and I still game and fuck cute girls. So as long as he isn't in the closet you're golden with the advice already given.

Good! Yeah, I don't think he's in the closet (I met his ex gf). I hadn't googled him before now, and I really wish I hadn't because he has an IMDB page, news articles, and now I'm kind of intimidated. :shock: But what the hell, I might as well just go for it.

Well, the most visible female PUA I know of is Arden Leigh of Sirens Seduction Forum for Women (I think she is or was Mystery's girlfriend). But I don't know if there's a message board like this one. I'm still looking into it!

interesting, how would a female PUA be defined? Considering getting sex from men is like giving candy to a three year old the goal must be a little different.
