Sjogren’s Syndrome is basically a systemic autoimmune disease in which what happens is that immune cells attack and disrupt exocrine glands which are responsible for producing tears and saliva. This is a disease most common in females because 90 out of 100% females are believed to be affecting from Sjogren’s Syndrome. It usually involves inflammation of glands and other major tissues of the body. It has a close connection with antibodies against various tissues in the body.
