I have been living with my girlfriend for 4 months....... she is petrofied of her overly controlling mom that as soon as she came back into town, told my girlfriend she had to move with her and her dad..... I tried to fight it and ultimately the mom made up a bunch of shit about me and came to my house and took her..... she was crying and seem sad to leave but ultimately she left and now she doenst contact me which im assuming is because of the mom.....before the mom came back we were happy and everything was fine no fights etc..... Waht should I do to get her to come back? |

Dang, is she Eastern European? Looks like something one of our moms would do. It's hard to suggest things since the situation is very delicate, and without good knowledge of the situation all advice will be like shooting blanks. If I were to assume an average situation, where the parents don't really know you, you treat the girl well, you have a good job, and they just want to keep her close, you gotta show the parents that you're a good man. If I were you I would forget everything that pick up attempts to teach and go back to basics. I'd grab my best clothes, shave, pick up a bottle of fine wine, and go for a visit. I'd try to explicitly talk about the fact that we got off on the wrong foot, I care about their daughter, wish the best for her, and would like their acceptance. If anything, I'd keep in mind that their daughter is a grown woman and can make her own decisions. Another option would be to invite all of them out to dinner and win them over with your perfect man look. If it goes well, slowly start building from that. You don't have to start living with her again right off the bet. Keep seeing her and build the relationship with her and her parents. Then again, I don't know how much you actually care about the girl and how much effort you want to put into it. If it doesn't initially work and they're mellow about it, try to persuade. If they're aggressive, or start turning aggressive, just leave. Try to persuade her. Make sure she knows you want to keep seeing her and all the cliché shit- just don't turn her against her parents. You're not fighting them for some piece of territory- you're trying to make sure you can coexist. If that entails her to make her way out of the parents' nest, or persuading them that you're a good guy, that might be your best option. Just go in that order, from most risk/reward to least. This might be time and energy consuming, so decide whether it's worth it. |

I tried talkin to the mom but she wont.... the mom lives in Juarez so I cant go there.... and shes no longer talking to me at all |
