and personality? So say you have a guy who looks decent and is fairly outgoing, not afraid to talk to people, etc. What can cause him to be a social loner? In the past spring semester at my new university (I transferred, first semester there), I felt like a loner in most cases. |

Abundance attracts. Lack of repels. So say you have a guy who looks decent and is fairly outgoing, not afraid to talk to people, etc. What can cause him to be a social loner? In the past spring semester at my new university (I transferred, first semester there), I felt like a loner in most cases. If you have no friends... Make one loser friend. The two of you can then better each other and hopefully make a friend who is not so much of a loser. You now have 2 friends, one of which who is going to bring you to the next level and another who is going to hopefully want to better himself too. You and your full loser friend and half loser friend can now become less of losers together and make more friends who are not as much of losers. You will continue to grow. The original loser friends will either keep up with you, wanting to build themselves with you, or fall back to their original loser self. Make sense? People who are loners are loners because they think they deserve "the best" for doing nothing. Same thing applies to women. |

If you are actually outgoing, you won't be a loner. Outgoing doesn't mean that you're not shy. Loads of people will quite happily have a conversation with someone, if the other person starts and directs the conversation. The difference between being 'not shy' and being 'outgoing' is that outgoing people can start and direct a conversation with most people, even random strangers. We all know the people who you can invite to a party where they know nobody, and yet they'll still fit in easily, and within 10 minutes seem to be best friends with everyone! If you're that sort of person, you won't be a loner. If you're the sort of person who thinks they're outgoing, who can have a conversation if someone else is leading it, but actually just sits quietly and only talks to one or two people and spends most of their time posting on the internet/on facebook etc. instead, then you're not outgoing and that solves the problem of why you're a loner. Simply put, if you actually talk to loads of people, then you won't be a loner. Some might not like you. You might not like some. But so what? Talk to enough people and you'll find loads of friends. Talking more brings out your confidence. When you're confident, the real you shines through. When that happens, you make friends with people you actually like and who actually like you. If you don't put yourself out there though, you won't. |

Never being afraid to be alone (with yourself) attracts others...not suggest self-sufficiency but at least having that frame will mean the difference between acting needy for attention or not. |
