I'm new to all of this stuff but really excited. I have social anxiety that I'm working on overcoming. I'm going to try to do the newbie mission like this week, but I keep thinking of excuses not to do it because I have that bad of anxiety lol.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of any books that will help with NLP and female psychology and that kind of stuff that I could read up on to help me. I've already ordered The Game online, so anything besides that book would be helpful. Thanks.

Yeah sure, take 2-4g of Phenibut and you'll be fine! Thank me later.

what exactly is this Phenibut? Yes, I googled it but I'm curious as to what it actually feels like or does to someone.

modafinil>rest
Also, NLP is bunk. Don't waste your time on it. The peer reviewed articles on it showed it to be ineffective.

PS. I looked in to Phenibut. Looks like interesting stuff. Did you ever try Piracetam and compare the two?

modafinil promotes wakefulness, right? For narcolepsy? Better off giving that to a girl once she's come up to your bedroom so she'll never want to go to sleep that night

[not a serious suggestion, but it makes me laugh.]

It's a nootropic. Makes you more focused, confident, energetic etc.

I know what you mean. Yeah, it doesn't stand up to scientific scrutiny. That said, there are gems for the pick-up artist buried in NLP literature. Remember we don't need to know something works 100% of the time to use it: we aren't testing cancer drugs. If something works 70% of the time that gives you a nice edge.

On a purely common sense level, making a girl feel comfortable and relaxed, and communicating with her effectively does work. The difficulty with NLP is that it isn't always obvious what does and does not work.

What I do is test stuff and if you can see immediate results, carry on with it, and junk anything which doesn't. Some of the ideas are empirically obvious and can be adopted straight away into your game.

Part of the problem with NLP is that it is very situational. "Mirroring" a girl for example is fairly useless with most women, but I'm sure you've had a specific experience where the effect was very noticeable and powerful. It's a freeroll-can't hurt you much if it is not working, but can sometimes close the deal.

My biggest problem with NLP is that it is a resource sink. You end up spending time practicing it, and when you use it, thinking about it, becoming distracted from what works. This is especially true in the beginning. Humans are much worse at multitasking than we like to believe. If you're focusing on mirroring her movements, it will probably compromise your conversation somewhat, since you'll be distracted.

Agree completely, it could be very counter-productive for a beginner/intermediate. I've been doing this some years now so most of the basics I do on auto-pilot. At that stage it is time to start thinking about using up the spare capacity of your brain.

NLP has been debunked years ago, funny how people still cling to it like its their silver bullet to pickup. Just like the polygraph, it goes to show that people will believe whatever they want to believe in spite of compelling evidence that speaks to the contrary.
