So met a sales rep in the industry I work in a couple of times. Shes OK but haven't really gotten to know her because I have only met her at a couple of meetings. Anyways I was having lunch with her and a few other ppl after a meeting and was sitting next to her, got a little personal info and after lunch when we were all leaving I asked if she wasn't seeing anyone if I could give her a call. Got the digits (it was a Thursday), called on Monday afternoon no answer so hung up, called a couple of hours later and left a message to call me (no response). I called one more time Wednesday, no answer didn't leave a message. A few hours later she texted me: "Hey. I've been really busy lately and haven't had a chance to talk. I'll call you when things slow down a bit. Take care" Sounds like a typical blow off to me. So should I do anything? it's been a week since her text. I'm not really all that interested in her but I need to work on my game and maybe she has something to offer. |

What Warped said. Many guys on this board could take a huge leap forward by learning to recognize when a girl's genuinely not interested and leaving her alone instead of trying to "game her" more. An interested woman will never say something like that to you, ever. |

This is the kind of stuff I smack myself for doing. It happens a lot. You're getting caught up in trying the dating scene or you fell into it because that's her knee jerk reaction. Basically you triggered her resistance. She's testing you out, while she "thinks it over". It's all subconscious to her. She gave you the typical blow off because she has you classified as another typical guy. It doesn't necessarily mean it's over but recovering from here is advanced shit. The best thing is to back off because you'll build trust. If you keep calling her seeming desperate you'll keep triggering that knee jerk reaction. You'll just have to lay off and hope to spark something in the far in the future with your new knowledge, don't jump the gun. Patience is key to many things in life. Next time you're chatting up a woman. Remember, you're better off just having fun than trying to get her to date you. If you are having fun, it will fall into place. If you try to date her, it will push many types of women away, (some love being chased, there's no golden rule) |

Yeah I didn't have a lot of time to build any connection, but I'm not invested in her either. Who knows when the next time I'll see her is but I'm not going to contact her again. If or when I do see her again I'll be friendly but show no interest in pursuing her. |

This is a problem, my job is male centric so hardly any female interaction. I travel to construction sites all day and write reports in the afternoon. I have been going to the gym (no hot bod yet but lost 30+ lbs, from 250 lbs to 216.5 today). I have heard I'm good looking, 6'2" full, head of brown hair, not obviously fat (still little spare tire but we all suck that in Even so I have real prob with approach. If there was a wing I could try a little harder because we could take notes and give support when worthless bitches say "Fuck Off!" because they suck, but as many of you know soloing is ultimate tough. |

I have never used a wing and at this point they would just get in the way. You don't have to approach women, you just have to meet them somehow. Get more female friends. Think lasting change. 90% of this is inner game. Go out and find yourself a whole group of women and be friends with them. Don't hit on any of them.

Weird way to ask for her number, dude. You should be able to gauge based on how she's talking to you or her movements whether or not she's single or interested. If you're off base and she says she has a BF, then ok! If not, it shows confidence that you asked. Regardless, that statement is same weird way of qualifying yourself before she may have done so. You showed your cards, so she didn't want to lead you on and ignored you. Strictly biz professional at this point. Sales women are always hit on... |
