I thought this would be a really interesting situation to bring up- I guess this sort of thing has happened to quite a few people!

So lets say you've known a girl for what... 5 years, lets say.
You are crazy about her, and she doesn't know it.
You've never told her how you feel about her, so it's not her fault that you are frustrated.
After so many years, you'd prefer to remain her friend and be able to hang out and see her, rather than telling her exactly how much you want her and scaring her off.
You've effectively put yourself into a friendzone...

Does anyone truly thing that this is possible? And if it is, how do you think that this is breakable?

Hi 1717. It seems logical to me that this could happen. Like a self-fulfilling prophecy you have predicted that you would scare her off but everything would remain the same if you kept it secret.

I won't pretend to know the cure for what ails you, but I'll say that I had a similar situation with a girl once and when I told her, she kissed me, but decided that it would be best to remain friends and we were pretty close for a few years.

For a while it was like, well...this kinda sucks. But looking back on it I think I just had oneitis and needed to GFTOW

I don't really think about her very much anymore.

As for overcoming the blockage? Well...my best guess would be to check out the flowchart in the book The Mystery Method on page 144 and just meticulously run that sequence on her like a cheat code in a video game.

I hope you find happiness/peace in whatever form it arrives for you.

That's my $0.02
