| Post subject: | First approach after a six year relationship - Question |
Alright, so ... I've been out of a relationship for a couple months, and the one I got out of was a real emotional cluster fuck. I won't get into those details, but just imagine a shitty relationship and then tact on like years. But, after a few months of putting myself together. I want to put myself back out there, and I've been talking to this girl. We're both photojournalists, but live in different parts of the country. I know, liking her may be against the grain (should probably focus on girls in my town, but for years she has been unattainably hot to me), but really ... just fucking talking to the opposite sex after years of a relationship has been a challenge. I'm a good looking guy, in good shape and have a career. So, all that bullshit is in check. BUT. This whole long distance thing is friendly, casual, whatever. I want it to be that next level, and I've studied the texting game on here more than once. But I'm wondering, do all the same rules apply when distance is involved? I ask this because sometimes its off and on with this girl, but its always consistent. I'm not trying to text her non stop, but she will just drop little "hey whats up" or "hows your night going" or "good morning" and when I engage, she doesn't give me much to work with. I know she is interested, but I'm dying to bring it to that next step. Any advice? |
