per the suggestions of some members here, I watched the movie Fight Club.

I dont get the point. What was the point of this? to me, it felt like a waste of 2 hours.

PS my inner voice told me to ask this question here.

Pay attention to the way Brad Pitt's character, Tyler Durden, acts and presents himself. He literally does not give a FUCK what people say or do to him. He demonstrates the characteristics of an alpha male. There is also alot of inner game stuff in there that once you understand, you will be very humbled with your true purpose of living.

Inner game. The purpose of art- in this case film art- is to take a concept and make it more real than real, a sort of super real. The film does this to masculinity using archetypical hard wired triggers as a vehicle. It lets you know just how far inner game can go.

"You are more than the contents of your wallet" Brilliant!

You almost have to watch it a few times to fully understand it. They flash penis subliminals at you in that movie. It's some weird shit. The one interesting thing to note about the movie is that there is actually a pua out there who uses the name Tyler Durden. He is irronically a real life analog of brad pitts character because if I ever saw the guy in a club I would walk right up to him and say "How are you Mr Durden" then wink. I'd do it just like they do in the movie and he'd know right away I was winging him. He literally has an army of pua all over the world who would sarge with him on the drop of a hat. Strange coincidence or incredibly clever name choice

Some guys here are idealizing it.

It does a good job of showing freedom from society- not caring about social constructs and doing what you want. As someone said, Brad Pitt shows a good image of an alpha male, but it's brought to some extreme.

Besides, it's a good movie with a decent message to it. If you think you wasted two hours of your life watching it, I would question a lot of things about you.

Dude, fight club is about human beings, men in particular, learning how to improve themselves and grow into something beyond their wildest dreams. they use the fight club as a starting point to let go of everything that's holding them back in life.
