PUA Forum :: How did race/ethnicity make its way into the PUA community?

Honestly. I hope you're posting all these topic about races and look for trolling purpose. Otherwise, you'd have a fucked up inner game you need to work on. Put gaming women on hold, work on yourself first.

Stop being so insecure about things that don't really matter that much. Women are emotional creatures, you win them over by the way you make them feel around you. NOT your LOOK, your RACE, or your MONEY. Those things do help your game but not crucial factors.

That isn't the focus, the focus is that why was it even brought up in PUA in the first place?

I'm pretty sure I've never heard race brought up on here by anyone but you, or seen it mentioned in any PUA materials.

I actually have to agree with both views on this one, both from the inner game workings and the outer pure appearance workings. As an Indian guy sarging in a highly culturally diverse city (Caucasians are legitimately the minority) I can pretty much say it works both ways. Yes, if you are confident enough to pull it off and have proper game you can get it in (whenever i DO close, its always cute white girls) BUT on the flip side, there is a level of aesthetics that comes into play as well - RACE 100% being one of them.

Take online dating as a perfect example it is a blank canvas where all guys "should" have a even shot - I created a profile on Pof.com, for the first while had no luck, tried changing pictures, descriptions, messages - EVERYTHING you see on the "how to improve your dating profile" thing.. I asked some girls on the site for improvement suggestions and they all said it was really unique and entertaining. YET no luck, not a single message, reply or meet me - zip, nada, ZERO. So i did an experiment, took a couple pics of one of my friends - average white guy, glasses, facial hair and short haircut - your legitimate average Joe - and swapped his pics instead of mine. Everything else remained EXACTLY THE SAME but within 5 minutes I got e-mails, messages, and "meet-mes" saying: "hey you're cute", "your profile made me smile", and "let's meet up you seem like you have a cool personality". Now for all those reading this saying "race has nothing to do with it" please explain this.. I didn't even MESSAGE any of them and was getting messages - How come, although it is the EXACT same profile, changing the "race" resulted in WAY more success?

Posted on this forum for more relevance I read SO MANY posts by PUAs who list being short, poor, and of course (insert race here) as a handicap when it comes to attracting women. Now growing up through most of my teens, I never saw my race as anything because I only thought of myself as an American. When I first read the PUA forums back in 2008 or so I saw so many posts by Asian men and to a smaller extent Indian men talking about race limiting them, some posts by Black men as well. Don't know what happened. I can see being short and poor as legitimate handicaps in the pickup world. Yet I want to know, where did race even get a role in all of this? I am talking way before I even joined this forum or learned of forums in the first place. I never saw my appearance as a bad thing until I started posting on PUA forums where there were countless topics about how bad Indian guys have it with women. As a result, I became the insecure guy you see today. I want to know how this talk even made its way into the community in the first place.

These are some of the main guys in the community, if they're not talking about race, who is?

Once, i filled out the form and only changed my name to something traditional and they invited me to a job interview(could see from thier face, that they didnt expect a guy, with eastern look). But both your and my example, could be randomness or discrimination. But NEVER forget - we are all human beings. We all have our standards. You cant just blame girls, if they prefer white or black guys. And they cant blame you, if you prefer asians. That is our primitive way, to sort out troublesome outcome from the start. I dont know how the society in US is, as i live in EU. But discrimination is everywhere, no matter your look, name etc. and it happends for EVERYONE. But this should make you even stronger and more secure about idenity, instead of runing away from the truth and from yourself. Be proud and be yourself, no matter who you are. Otherwise, the only enemy, will be yourself.

Race matters. You want a certain race of girl so why blame them for wanting a certain race of guy. You can change your personality, your fashion your vocals all that...but at the end of the day whatever race you were born you're stuck. Even height can be adjusted about 2 inches with certain shoes. I swear, everyone wants to have things easy. Guys want to sit back and make online profiles, message white girls and then complain they get no responses because they're X nationality. Or go to the bar dressed goofy and approach 1 or 2 girls and then act like they can't get white girls. If you are of a race that makes it tougher to get white girls, hit the gym and work on yourself to the best version possible. Then approach hot girls. Work HARDER and approach MORE. When you have something that limits you, you work harder or give up and settle. Not whine.

I actually did an experiment along with others in which I put the picture of an Indian guy up on beautifulpeople.com and he managed to get so many replies and winks from the attractive women there. If you go to OkCupid or Plenty of Fish (I like to call it plenty of whales), you see it so many times. I remember hearing that usually it is the average looking girls who care more about small stuff like this for some reason, even more so than attractive girls. So I guess this is a case of either: 1. The Indian guys who whine about the online dating are doing something wrong, maybe their style is off and picture is low quality. 2. The logistics, these guys live in areas where women are closed off and sites are full of such women. Eitherways I have never really bothered with online dating. Other than Beautifulpeople.com myself where I did get some winks.
