I think ball busting is a natural part of being a guy. But some dudes just go overboard to the point that its not funny, it just sounds corny.

We went to a restaurant the oter day and my friends were trying to mack it with the waitress. Very AFC "Hey Baby" stuff. But they love to AMOG each other in front of chicks and instead of it being "These are cool guys who are real men and comfortable busting each other" it was like "Here are the three stooges who dont get it."

I would file this under just social game. These set of friends dont get laid but they are good at jibber jabbing away. I remember everytime I tried to say something they would interupt and just talk over me. Usually with others, everyone listens to what the oter has to say. I think its good practice, though.

Maybe it was because they knew each other very well and I hadnt seen them in a while? Idk some people's only way of getting a laugh to make fun of someone or something.

Happened today with a completely new friend. He got angry that someon cock blocked him, then he punched his friend in the face, it was whoah wtf.

My friends and I give each other shit all the time when its just us and no one else. A part of being close with friends is being able to bust each other's balls... IN PRIVATE (no homo). When its done in a wider social circle, its extremely disrespectful and just a shitty thing to do. Busting your friends' balls when you're out around others actually hurts your social proof. It shows that you're not a good protector/person in general. Its also a sign of inadequacy/insecurity. If you can't even be good to people you supposedly care about, why would a girl think you could be good to her? Find new friends, that will treat you with respect in public. It makes you all seem like more confident, respectable people, and will give all of you more success with women, imo.

I thought it sounded cold too, but as he was really trying to get a reaction out of me, I thought "Wouldnt go out to the bar or club with ths guy." Just like you said, as they hit on the waitress you could see her getting more and more uncomfortable. I think hanging with them outside of pick up, might be good because A) yeah theyre friends and B) hell if someone AMOG's maybe I'll be more prepared after practice. But yeah I never want to come back from the club and think that I had a bad night because of the people / friends I brought with me.

I can relate entirely to your opening sentence. I have a friend who is a chronic 'ball-buster' so much so to the point where my female friends find him intolerable and have asked me why I talk to him. I eventually chose to distance myself from him as he had eventually reached my tolerance threshold. Guys like this may mean well, but they just aren't very socially aware (know how to self monitor and when to ease back on the ball busting). if you like broach the subject with them and give them a chance to respond. I'm not suggesting you write them off as friends if there's value in the friendship, but perhaps distancing yourself a bit and finding more normal people to hangout with would be a good start.
