If i ever take a girl out for something: the following problem happens

1) if you pay, she might think you are a wuss
2) if you dont pay she thinks your cheap.

I've actually had different girls tell me they consciously disqualify a guy for each reason.

So? have fun with it.

I pay ahead of time, before i even pick her up and throw in a nice tip for the bartender/waiter. Then when we go, I'll either wait for her to ask for the check (or if she doesn't I just will)... and the pre-planned response will be

"Oh its on the house! Atlas does not pay in our establishment". Then I thank the guy, smile at my date, turn and lead the way outside. Then I just don't answer her million questions about why I don't have to pay...

oh wow.. bullshit, i feel like i'm reading the same thing from the game..If you actually do it, good for you. If you are just wasting your time to show off how slick you are, then poor you :)
Anyway, I usually pay for all first dates if i'm the one inviting.. After that, i usually split. Many times if i'm in a pub/bar with a girl and she offers to pay i'll just tell her she can take the next one.

I guess the idea is decent but its a lie and I honestly don't find being dishonest or putting on a show for a girl to look good "cool". This is not me attempting to rain on your parade or anything but I just don't think any of that is necessary. If you are a "great" guy and having a successful date the girl isn't going to care who pays; I've had girls really arguing with me so I would just let them pay. So i let her pay. Every date is different, just fill the vibe out and when its time for the check just trust your instincts.

If you had a good time and are into the girl, pay, no big deal no problem. If the date was so-so, don't feel obligated to pay for the sake of " Being polite"

As Joey said, it's not a bad idea, but you're putting way too much effort. If you're willing to much that much attention in it, why not invite her to your place and cook. Or prepare food and go for a picnic if it's during the day.

I actually liked the idea as I read it but then the little phrase that the waiter says killed it. Just paying in advance and if she asks for the bill saying, "I already took care of it" isn't bad. If you need to go out of your way to impress the woman, actually do some note-worthy shit. Don't lie.

The way I get around the problem is I'll always pay.

Or she might think you're a gentleman. Or she might think the money question doesn't bother you. Either way, never affected me at all.

If you take a closer look, it was the waiter who lied; not the player. Most likely, the player did this once and it worked for him. Not unless the player feeds the line that the waiter says, different waiters will say different things.

I haven't tried this one out yet since most of my recent sarges were cheap US $2 instadates where I always did the paying or home cooked meal hangouts where girls did the cooking. It's a worth a try though when the opportunity comes.

Or get a job so you don't have to worry about $20 either way. I generally pay on a date or something similar because well, I don't see how even making a big deal out of $20 can look like anything but a DLV.
