I have one particular friend who has never had much game. I'm certainly no expert myself however if we're both out I tend to pick up a lot more then him. The last 3 times we have been out and talking to girls he has started paying me out or putting me down in front of the girls, and it has been working for him. He seems to do it more if the girls are paying more attention to me.

I haven't spoken to him about it and had wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but he did again on Saturday night and was quiet brutal. It totally threw me off, I didn't know how to react.


Has anyone experienced something similar? If so how do you handle it?

Yes and no. No, as in never a friend.
BUT ...at work, when I used to pick up chicks at lunch(at the caffè) these angry nerds I.T(colleagues) were acting just like your friend.
So, I stopped pickup in front of them.

As for your friend: don't waste 10 years to figure out he's a piece of shit.
Then be bitter.
Lose him RIGHT away. He's conscious he's using you as a ladder
Like those colleagues I used to be like
"Dude, why are you fucking up my scene"
"Sorry" they'd say.
And they were REALLY sorry..
But then the next day..when I was macking again..It was stronger than them..They would try and constrain themselves..then just burst.

So, that's my advice to you: LOSE HIM.

now, let's say you can't lose him etc...
Then intimitaly, act detached from him..in a sense play him like a chick...
Until..he's needs you to validate him..
BUT I'd prefer the frist choice.



Then go alone to pick up.
From doing that in the end you become friends with people on the scene..and that's that.


Look for another friend.
Tell him.

I agree with thedude.

Why would you go out with a homie who is screwing up your night?
Find someone new if you NEED a wing.
If you have some sort of weird attachment to him, well, don't meet girls with him. You two should go on a mendate, confess your love to each other, and be gay lovers.

But seriously, if you think you can confront him and have everything be okay, it won't be.
He is coming from his own perspective where he sees that this is okay. Once you say shit to screw with his homeostasis, he'll feel discomfort and then either tend to drift back to messing with your game or drift away from you. Might as well cut it right now.

Do you have some particular examples how he fucked you over? I'm rather interested how other people could completely fuck up your game without having any chance to turn it over and fuck him back in the same way.

You could also see it as a completely new challenge which could make gaming a lot more fun if you're having way too easy pickups but I doubt anyone'd want that. I wouldn't myself at least haha.

Be totally straight with him. Tell him when he when puts you down or whatever if front of these women it makes it impossible to score with them, and if he keeps doing it you're not gonna go out and try to get girls with him anymore.

Alternativley you could one up him, next time he puts you down, come back twice as hard, and see how he likes it.

Could you give the specifics of how he fucked things up for you?

Don't let him, or anyone, shake your frame. His putdowns should have no effect on you - at least not visibly so.

You could try speaking to him about it privately, but it's unlikely to work.

Options:

-find another wingman
-confront his bitch ass and explain how a real wingman works
-put him down before he puts you down (warning could make you look bad and kill your game)
-roll with the put downs and show the women that you can laugh at yourself and your confident
-learn how to take what hes saying and turn it around into a funny joke and/or reverse put down on him. This will take practice if you are not naturally witty.
-stab his heart and neck with sharp knife.

These should all work.
