Post subject:  The "what's your type" question...

Last night after pulling this chick, we went to a quite spot and she asked me "what's your type?" I hadn't given her any compliment yet (but she was fishing for them all night!) So I described some of her features which worked out for me, I already had her. But not all, didn't want to make her feel like I though she was my perfect type. When I get asked this earlier on, I usually just ask them questions back like: "what colour's your hair?" When she replies, i just smile and say something like "yeah, I prefer blondes" or "I guess that will do for tonight"
How do you play this question?

Me, i answer it honestly. I have a list of qualities i look for and when I am asked this question, i give them my list.

Which is: Open-minded, Confident, Modest but Sexy, Spontaneous, Good set of morals, Respectful of others, Passionate about something, Caring, Unselfish, Naughty, Feminine, Allows herself to live in the moment, Self-aware, Compassionate, Doesnt Hold Grudges.

I think "what's your type" is kind of a loaded question. It may be a shit-test to see how superficial you are. Krular may have had it right when he described personality traits rather than physical characteristics. Talk about good energy and it might influence her to perk up and be more energetic for you. Mention adventurous and it may influence her to take more risks throughout the night. You could say "blonde hair and big tits" as a joke, but I think the way to go with this question is to describe fun and exciting personality traits.

Take the question at face value, stop reading into every nuance of language body and/or verbal. The 'shit-test' thing is so overblown, so long as you answer with confidence and you're being authentic, that's all that matters in the end.

^This. Not everything is a shit-test. Women are conniving, but not every single minute of every single day. Well... Anyway, it's usually not a shit test. And if you answer with positive character traits whomever asked is going to relate that to herself, since we all consider ourselves to have those personality attributes on some level.

"What's your type?"

"Run-of-the-mill self-obsessed type who spends every waking moment updating her facebook status, check-ins, updating her 10000+ photo gallery, somebody plagued with daddy issues, engage in cutting behavior is a bonus...somebody I can take home to mom...to kill so I can collect in on my inheritance"

Talk about a womans character

Loyalty, faithfulness, adventuresome, but also takes good care of herself and has goals.

Subtly tie it into things she represents. Then make fun of her so she doesn't get too full of herself.

The feedback to your question needs to be sorted into two columns: One column would be responses for a girl that you might want to be in a relationship with. The other column would be responses for a girl you just want to sleep with.

As soon as you move into "real" answers you move onto a woman's terrain. She'll own you there. That's not a bad thing, but you'll have to move through all her tests and at her pace.

If you do like you say and have fun with her you'll keep her in your territory and you can dictate the terms.

For me, I only move into real answers only if I am not interested in the girl and don't want to spend the energy to keep her laughing, or if I think there is a relationship potential there.

Girls will be working to get you to where they are advantaged: you complimenting them and engaging emotionally, so you need to be working to keep them on your turf, you not being very interested and having fun. The battle that creates is where sexual tension exists. So choose your response based on what you think about the girl.

One tactic is to go with the exact opposite type for a bit of entertainment.
I used to date a skinny brunette and I told her I liked buxom blondes. Her reaction was pretty funny.

I generally just say that I dont have a type but I know what I like when I see it.

I agree with you completely! I got asked this when i was out Saturday night, after bringing a HB10 down to size, I got asked this question again. This time it was definitely a shit test! I told her I liked different color eyes and hair to what she had. She was obviously used to other guys saying she's absolutely perfect, I left it at that and said "I'm just off to see if my mates alright" 10 minutes later she approached me.
