My story: I had this girlfriend, it has kinda turned into a on/off kind of relationship. When it was still definitely on I met this girl who looked cute and I was into her. Except that she was a couple of years younger than me and still very innocent. In this time I didn't really flirt with her, just really subtly, because my gf at the time went crazy if I flirted with someone else. Then my gf and I broke up. I got a bit more serious with this innocent girl and I got TONS of IOI's from her. Touching, flirting, asking me out on everything she was doing, confiding deep stories in me, texting me all day, calling me for hours, etc. I think this was part of my screw up, since I didn't escalate enough here. Because when I asked her for a date she was like "Oh...umm...let me think about it, I actually didn't see this coming". Apparently she talks to a lot of guys like she talks to me (minus the deep stories). She was so innocent she didn't get people could see it in another way. XD Anyways, after this a few weeks went past and I kinda got it was a rejection and she wanted to be friends. Something I'm not really interested in. So I told her that we shouldn't talk so much anymore, since I don't really have so much time to be THAT close to just a friend. So we haven't spoken in like almost a week until just a few hours ago where she texted me asking how I was doing and that she was feeling a bit down. We talked for like 15 minutes and then I said bye again. Any ideas on anything else I did wrong and how to proceed with this? Should I keep the no contact going or shouuld I reinitiate and try to game her again already? Or just accept that this is beyond saving and don't spend any attention on this at all? |

I think what happened here is that you didn't realise that some girls, particularly innocent ones, don't have any walls to break down. Maybe what you saw as 'flirty' she saw as 'friendly.' It's happened to many oft friends and the same thing has happened to me. My logic is, enjoy the friendship for what it is. I haven't figured out how to break past this. In my example she keeps joking about me taking her to a movie and putting 'moves on her' and is constantly seeking my validation, except she's also a very flirty woman. |
