I knew this guy called Alasdair Sinclair who works for the UK government MOD in Glasgow. I think he is an imposter.

He used to grt jealous and hate on every guy who could pull girls, because he couldn't. He was a real creepy guy, the type you expect might massacre his workmates in a fit of paranoid rage. I remember how he used to go about trying to pull. He was select his gorgeous targets and send them huge emails. I don't know what they said, but they were very long winded - about a half an A4 sheet of papers worth.

I remember him mentioning to me something vague about Internet seduction, but thought nothing of it. Then, I remember he told me how he was making this gorgeous girl attracted to him in the smoking shelter. He would copy everything she did. He would take a draw of his cigarette at the same time as her. If she brushed her hair out of her face, he would follow suit. Hands in pockets, he would do likewise. I remember thinking it was a little creepy but sort of just brushing it off. Does this guy sound like a 'pick up artist'?

An unsuccessful one.

well, not everyone that knows about pickup is a pickup artist in my opinion.. If he told you about a secretive online society to attract women, then he probably is learning this stuff.. To add, copying the body language and voice tone of that girl implies that he is trying to use some NLP and build rapport with that girl.

Don't you think it's a bit creepy? He never got talking to the girl, just mimicked her movements. It can't be said to be real rapport if its contrived, can it? If is all planned out. That makes it psychological manipulation and very creepy indeed.

An unsuccessful one.
He managed to pull a girl from our canteen who, on the surface, was reasonably attractive but who, just under the surface, was a needy screwball.

And he managed to rope another girl into aiding him in spreading rumours around the building, wreaking his little vengeances and making fun of everyone. Don't know if he pulled her. But he has a horseshoe haircut, is in his 30s and still lives at home - you couldn't create a sadder archetype. And yet...

This is definite mind-trickery. From paranoid loner to somewhat popular via NLP and seduction? I smell a rat. How can people be so taken in by blatant imposters?

envy is not an attractive trait, the path your heading down will just make you both look bad and this sort of thinking is poisonous for you

Maybe he was one of those guys that never had to pick up a pua ebook.

I agree that he is an unsuccessful pua, but he gets laid. And getting laid is what counts.

He sounds like a predator who takes advantage of the weak. If that's the case then he can tell who's susceptible to his bullshit, and he can pull those vulnerable people into his sphere of influence.

And, just to be clear, that's not what you want to be. You don't want to be a rat, scavenging for whatever poor girl you can find who's fallen on hard times only to take advantage of her.

lol sounds like a funny guy. Shouldn't post his name online though. He is trying to use a NLP technique known as 'mirroring'.
