Hey guys, Valentine's day is coming up and I'm racking my brains trying to come up with something to do with my girlfriend of a few months. I'm going to get roses delivered to her house that day and im also going to get her a small gift. I also want to take her out to dinner. I'm thinking that it might be fun to go out to dinner on a double date with another couple who we are both friends with. We have no trouble spending time with each other alone, but the conversation is usually better when we are actually doing something. I'm worried that it might be a bit dry if it is just us at dinner, especially since I am more of the quiet type. So my question is, do you think it is a bit lame and "not-romantic" to go on a double-date on valentine's day? Im a bit of a noob to long term relationships and I don't want to fuck up on my first valentine's day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks. |

Spend all of your time on her. She wants to be felt pampered and cared for on days like this, not hanging with people she can hang with any day of the week. Don't even broach the topic of a double date, it'll turn her off if she's a normal human being.

Unless you really, really want it. A double date should be out of the question at valentines. Buy her some roses, a box of chocolate and take her to a nice resturante. You shouldn't be afraid to overdo it though, this is the one day a year you should take this gesture all out. |

if it has only been a few months, i wouldnt go with whole dozen roses deliveried to her house. I would go with 1 or 3 roses when you show to her place to pick her up for dinner. The small gift is a good idea and dont over do it. A nice place to eat for dinner is important, and doing all the sweet things for her, opening doors and helping her with her chair. Again, if only a few months, all the sweet things will go the furtherest right now. If you over do it with to many roses or to big of a gift right now and it does end up being long-term it will be hard to up the anti next year, or if you really over do it they will expect it every year and will be extremely let down if you dont over do it next year. Being as sweet and as repectful as you can will go alot further the first valentine's day |
