| Post subject: | Fear of blushing |
One of the biggest things that is holding me back in terms of approaching during the day is the fear of blushing. I'm 19 years old and at uni but still I blush at least 3 times a week and if I blush around people I have big urge to get away from them. I only really blush if caught off guard and it only takes really small things to trigger it. My questions are- How can I reduce how much I blush? -How do I get rid of the fear of blushing/ being seen by others blushing ? Eyrie |

Blushing is triggered by emotional responses. And your emotional responses are triggered by intimidation and lack of social skills. But that will improve with time and experience. It's part of the learning experience. I also used to have somewhat of a blushing problem. But you're only 19. Cut yourself some slack. I quickly saw your journal and you're obviously determined to improve. You'll be alpha within a few years no doubt. It's like ripped dudes in their early 20s... They started lifting at 18-19. |

it just happens to me and it seems like you cant do anything to stop it. i was the same age as you when it started and i just had to eject myself if i could. it went away on its own in about 2-3 years. well it isnt as bad as before, not even close. |

Cheers for the posts guys, since reading your replies when ever the blushing starts I just label it in my mind that its a emotional responses triggered by lack of social skills and this has really helped. It just fades away and my face doesn't look like its going to explode. I'm glad to see that its going to reduce, it only really gets to me when I see no one else my age is going through this shyt.
