| Post subject: | girl was talkative at the bus stop, but not inside the bus |
Hi I met this girl at the bus stop. it turned out that we do very similar things for work. so when we were at the bus stop, she was very talkative. she asked me a lot of questions about my work. then the bus came, and we both got on. So i went to the back, thinking she would follow me to the back continuing our conversation. but to my disappointment, she sat somewhere in the front. there was someone sitting next to her. so i stayed in the back. when that someone sitting next to her got off, I went and sat next to her and said "so what else?" she says "huh?" I say "so what else?" she says "what else?" I say "yeah" now listen to this, this is where it gets interesting. she smiles, and makes herself busy with her iphone. that's it. nothing else was said. no response. nothing. what the hell? Now I will admit to one thing that I did wrong. she asked me "who are your clients?" and I said "for privacy reasons, I cant give out the names of my clients, but all I can tell you is I am working with a couple of lawyers" This is the last thing that was said and then the bus came. is it possible that this is what caused a turnoff for her? This happened last week and I had mostly forgotten about her. But I saw her today at the post office which reminded me of how gorgeous she is. she has those eyes that you cant tell if they are asian or not. i love those eyes. She takes the same bus that i do, so there is a good chance i will see her again. should i forget about her? |

Just my opinion - take it for what it's worth. Why would she be talkative at bus stop and not in the bus? It's a private convo at the bus stop no one can see her and you, but if she sat near you or if you influenced her to sit near you it would hv been an IOI. But on the bus she knows ppl will be viewing who she's talking to, girls are always conscious of how their perceived by other people. So she wants to DHV to other ppl and not be openly hit on possibly, girls know what we're doing lol. Other than that, I don't know what you opened with or what you used to build attraction. It sounds like you went straight to comfort - discussing work. Thus, friend zoning yourself. Where's the teasing, or joking around. Plus, you should hv possibly been more direct with her. But it seems like your instantly setting her on a pedastool - us guys do this a lot to girls. Studies show that we perceive ppl of beauty as more innocent, good and I guess high value just based on looks. Don't set her higher than yourself, she's a human like everyone else. Sometimes girls are just nice and like to talk, sometimes their interested. Study body language and tell the difference. People eyes will open up more, or they'll laugh at your jokes all of these are IOI's. Lastly, create some mystery about yourself if she asks what ur work is, once a girl figures you out it gets boring, they want mystery. Say, "I normally don't brag but I'm a secret agent looking for a sidekick - feeling adventurous?" Lastly, the way to get one girl is to talk about others. Bring up other girls in your life with stories of how you helped them/rescued them, show honest preselection. Hope that helped. |

No. This is in fact more of a DHV answer. Shows you are serious about work and loyal to your employer. Women appreciate loyalty. But you could have been more of a joker as pink suggested and said something like "gosh that's too personal for me to reveal. Do you want to know my home address too?"Your first mistake was not inviting her to sit next to you on the bus. "Hey follow me to the back of the bus so we can continue our conversation." Your second mistake was going back to the front of the bus and talk to her. That was an extremely aggressive move -- in fact, she probably felt you were invading her territory. We're talking about a city bus -- not a night club where everyone is grinding on one another. Third mistake, but that's the least serious of your mistakes, you asked "what else?" Very vague question. Stupid rather. Your next move is to simply ignore her. You let her know that not responding to your social approach is unacceptable. With time she'll hopefully engage you again. Your second move is to socialize with everyone at the bus stop. Women, men, kids, anyone. This will make her think you weren't necessarily hitting on her, but rather trying to be friendly. Good luck. |

I'm in a foreign country so this happens a lot to me where i have to ask for directions of how to get to a certain place on the bus stop.. From there, I just open a conversation.. Really anything i want.. There is no magic here.. If I like the girl, when i get on the bus I tell her to sit next to me as she seems pretty fun to talk to.. Once you assume to her she is fun to talk to, she will try to be fun to talk to.. This goes with everything really.. Assume someone is friendly, and they will try to be friendly to you.. Besides, once you tell her to join you and sit next to you, she doesn't have much choice.. It's a situation where she will not know what to do and don't have much time to blow you off so she will sit next to you.. If she was responsive to you and the conversation was okay before you got on the bus, chances are slim that she will just sit somewhere else.. Or you can simply say " There are 2 seats over there". Basically, what i'm trying to say is " Lead and they will follow". I guess that answered your question.. Here's a cool opener i like to use on the bus : " Hey, it's my first time on the bus! It's actually kind of cool. So when do i tell the bus driver the address of my home? " Witty opener to break the ice.. |
