I've been texting this girl for a while since I split up with my ex. Plus texting and getting with a few others. I just want to know your thoughts, if a girl mentions she is going on a date with another guy, does that mean shes not interested? Heres how this text convo went.

Me:
6 truths in your life:
1. You can't lick all your teeth with your tongue.
2. You're an idiot, because you just tried to prove truth number one.
3. Truth one is a lie.
4. Now you're smiling, because you're a goof.
5. You'll send it to another idiot in the near future.
6. You're still smiling ;)

Her:
Lol-unfortunately this didn't work on me as I recently had an operation to have my wisdom teeth removed, so I knew truth 1 was a lie! Still, truth 6 turns out to be true

P.s. did you get that job?

Me:
Haha.. Well at least it made you smile ;). I won't know until next week & I have another interview Tuesday for something else. What are you up to, cutie? :)

Her:
I'm at home, not feeling too good...I'm missing my friend's birthday :( you?

Me:
Awww, you're so sweet, you're giving me diabetes lol. I'm also staying in tonight. Not up for going out again. Are you around tomorrow or Tuesday evening?

Her:
Lol!!! Oh [my name] that's the worst thing I ever heard! I have my work do tomorrow in Piccadilly and tues I may have a date ;) I think I'm out in [town] with the girls on Saturday though

Me:
Hahaha, oh thanks sexy I try. Oh good, it's about time we found you a man ;) & thanks for reminding me, I've got a date next week too. But are you sure you're not just going to an AA meeting? Lol Saturday could be a possibility, who else is out?

Her:
Ooh when's your date and where are you taking her? How exciting. I've been seeing this one for a couple of months...but it's nothing serious and he knows I'm dating other people so may go this week with someone else-lol I'm having a girls night in at mine, but we may pop out to [club 1] or [club 2]

Haven't responded to this. I could just go into detail with her about this other girl I met and just get it on with her mates on the weekend. Or I could try and bring it around and go for her.

What are your thoughts?

I replied with this lol.

Well you know she's gonna have to pick me up, with flowers, standardly, or I won't go lol. She was one of the girls I met on Thurs in {town] and happens to be working in [town] next week. Btw, you're such a player! So it seems like you are weighing up your options ;) I was contemplating letting you see me, but I'm not so sure now. We should still hang out sometime. You can help me pick up chicks, but that is all

I think it went dead. She replied after I wrote the last message I posted, going along with what I was saying, when I was bantering with her about her helping me pick up chicks.

Her:
No, i'm not! Lol I'm just protecting myself thats all. :) Yeah i'll give you a hand I'm really good at setting people up. I hope the date goes well.

Me:
Haha, thanks i'm sure it will. I may go out on Sat so you can work your magic the ;). Do you have anyone in mind?

Her:
No, unfortunately not. All my girl mates have boyfriends/husbands....I'm the only single one. We'll find someone nice in [club] for you though ;)

I didn't reply after that haha. So patronizing. I thought allow her if she can hook me up with her friends, then she says they are all taken. Fail. Not like I'd need her to find me a random girl in a club. I can do that myself.

Defo failed shit test for sure.

I don't see how Aww, you're so sweet has to do with what she said.. Don't just through canned stuff for no reason lol :) She wouldn't have brought up the other guy she is going on a date with if you have not already been friendzoned.. She set you a bate and you fell for it. No need to tell her you got yourself a date too..

No hard feelings bro. But I guess what I'm trying to say is the guys that try to be cool are not really cool and the guys that don't try to be are the cool ones :)

You could be close though. You have the rapport down- just need to turn the sexual tension up and escalate. She's saying "but it's nothing serious and he knows I'm dating other people so may go this week with someone else" to undermine the whole date thing and let you know she's still available. If you're friends, I don't really see why she would say that. Put yourself in her shoes.

Since I assume you both go clubbing together, dance with her and try to escalate.
Setting up something to do together shouldn't be tough either since you have a good amount of rapport built up.

Given what she said about the date thing, I assume it was just a shit test. You do really need to get this one before it cools down though. It's on that brink.
