Hi Everyone, Don't consider myself a newbie, but def not a PUA per se, either. I'll go straight to the point. So there's this girl I've known for 2 years. Stunning. Smart. Funny. But due to other relationships I'd been having, I never really got a chance to properly get to know her. Finally get to know her on my last year of university. Have 2-3 dates, keep things light and relaxed, goes really well. Start getting closer. Then my life takes a turn and unprecedented circumstances take a toll on my confidence (circumstances that had nothing to do with her). My confidence drops, I make the stupid move of telling her how much I like her. She tells me she has a BF and that she isn't sure whether she likes him or not, and that she will consider me. Everything falls apart from there. She rejects me as a partner, puts me in the friendzone a few days later. I behave like a pussy in the next few interactions with her. Now doesn't even text me. Game's gone cold. Cold is an understatement. Sub-zero. Never been in a situation like this. Thought of picking up the pieces and any man-cards I have left, and move on. Problem is I like this girl, I believe I had a good shot with her once, and that I'm a huge optimist. I always think I have a shot at anything, even if it's just a shot in hell. Help for a fallen comrade. |

The best help I could give you would be to convince to simply move on and forget about her. |

A few years ago I met someone who could have been a potential girlfriend around the same time someone in my family died. There was no way I could have made it happen, the state I was in. Life does these things to us sometimes. If your situation is similar, give yourself a break, let it go and concentrate on dealing with whatever it is that affected you in the first place. |

Thanks for the great advice. I won't go into details on what happened to me, but let's just say it's been pretty rough. Sorry for your loss, and I hope you have recovered (as much as possible) from this event.Quote: Freeze her out a while.
Thank you too. That is exactly what I've been doing since the last time we spoke (~1 month).

When you re establish contact act as if you're just new meeting her. Don't let any past experience cloud you're judgement. |
