Post subject:  Help with k-close and after-date locations in Japan!

Hi guys!
So I've been working on my game for a couple of months on and off here in Japan, and I'm starting to get better at approaching and setting up dates. However, I still have a lot to learn on escalation, confidence and k / f closing.
I've been on several dates the last two months, the last one being yesterday, and even though I'm getting better at kino escalation (I REALLY sucked at this in the beginning), I'm really stuck on what to do to get things further than just holding hands, touching etc.
- First of all - the cultural rules are different here, kissing in public is a big no-no. I've thought about this, and I might just be making excuses for myself, but I can't seem to get further than holding hands and hugging girls, and some girls even get uncomfortable getting hugged in public, even though they didn't mind being hugged etc. in a restaurant where there weren't a lot people.
- This leads to my second, main problem. I live in a dorm pretty far from Kyoto (where all the bars / clubs are), so it's difficult to invite girls over to my place, as it's... well, far. Which leaves two options - her house or a love hotel. I pushed myself yesterday, and did something I've never done, I invited myself over to hers pretty casually, saying I could walk her home. However, I met resistance as she started talking about she having to get up early the next day, and blablabla. So even though I'm happy I tried to push things further, I probably did it the wrong way. We ended up parting at a bus stop near her house..
I still have the Love Hotel option left, and I'd love to get my skills up to the level of taking girls there, but I got to be honest - I still struggle with going for the kiss, so going for the Love Hotel seems really tough.

Any tips on what I can do to improve?
I'm trying my best over here, but trying to improve my game in Japan all in Japanese is pretty rough at times. But I really want to get better, so I'd love some tips on getting over these problems..
