Post subject:  Is she even remotely interested??

Guys,

This is a bit of an "unusual" situation!

I got some routine off this forum and FB poked a girl who I've never met before, but who was in the friends list of a bar that I frequent. We had a bit of banter, several messages back & forth and it's still ongoing. For the moment it's just general chit chat, with a few "mildly flirty" remarks. She keeps telling me I seem cool and that I'm "so funny" etc. I made her "qualify" herself to me, which she duly did, she asks me plenty of questions, tells me a fair bit about herself, and there's been plenty of humour on both sides.

However, on a couple of occasions she has mentioned the fact that she's only VERY recently become single again. She doesn't want a bf, (not that I in ANY way hinted at this! We haven't even met yet, after all!) and she just wants to chill out, which is understandable. She has said things like "I need to make sure you're nice, and that you're not just sending me messages to try to get with me!" She always laughs & puts smileys etc, even when she mentions this, so the mood of the whole interaction is still fun & laid back, which I am fine with!

So my question is : Do I just take it easy and "ignore" the fact that she's not looking for anything, and continue to "game" her as normal and see what happens? Or am I heading for LJBF & wasting my time?

We still haven't met yet, but I think that we'll hang out soon.

Thoughts?

Cheers fellas!

Sounds like she at least mildly intrigued by you, I would say strike while the iron is hot and meet up with her for drinks or something light. She isn't going to make any kind of true judgment or commitment to you over facebook when she has not met you face to face...don't expect her to tell you she really like you lol

I would tell her "Hey I'm going to this really cool bar on friday, come along and lets grab a drink" see how she reacts. If she gives you a valid reason for not being able to meet up plan something for another date, if she tells you she just doesn't want to date anyone right now, tease her a bit and tell her to come for a couple drinks and lighten up, it would be good for her, if she still says no then drop it and move on.

chances are she will agree to meet up if you don't make it seem like a big deal, be light, be fun, don't plan anything crazy! make it seem casual.
