I'm a confident, good looking and smart guy. Definitively above average in looks and far above average in intelligence. I feel like I'm not achieving my potential at all. I really have ZERO excuses as to why I haven't banged many girls so far. It's like having a Ferrari in the garage and never using it. It's not a pleasant feeling and I feel like my youth is going to waste (I'm 24). I have isolated my weakness as follows: I often just don't have anything to say. I don't even have approach anxiety. Sometimes I talk to girls in my classes but after a few minutes my mind just goes blank and I can't continue the conversation or I don't even say anything to begin with because I have nothing to say. I have missed SO MANY opportunities with girls that were obviously interested because of this. Another problem is logistics. I can't just go sit right beside the girl I want to talk to when half the chairs are empty and I can't just run to the front to randomly talk to her after class. That would be really weird. Sometimes I do manage to say a few words but after the class ends I really have absolutely nothing to say and just say goodbye. This means I can't develop any new deep friendships outside of class. This also applies to some of the girls I already kind of know. I'm terrified of seeing them around campus or on the bus because I literally go blank after a few minutes/seconds of small talk and have to say bye or pretend like I'm reading something to prevent awkwardness. It doesn't really have to do with whether I find them attractive or not or whether I'm nervous although it's much worse if the are very attractive. I just cannot keep a conversation going when it's just me and ONE other girl. This is why I haven't been on any dinner dates because I know I'd have not much to talk about and it would be SUPER awkward. Now this problem is completely solved when it's me and two or more people. I'm often the leader in that case and have fun and make people laugh left and right and we never run out of things to say. But this is useless if you can't game girls individually and in private. Please offer me some advice as to what I can do. If it helps I'm well-read and always on top of the news etc and even celebrity news. I'm normal in every way except my conversation skills with girls are clearly lacking. Thanks a lot! |

Everything you mentioned parallels my overall situation lol I'm definitely interested to see what others suggest. However, I can say that blankness in conversations has diminished over the past year or so. Not that this is the best way to solve your problem, but hopefully my accounts can provide you some insight. To initially overcome that state of mind, I would do things with friends at first to meet girls (like parties, hanging out, etc.) then get the girls number at that time; any established association helped to overcome that barrier. Regarding dinner dates, it never was an issue. With the realization that the girl already accepted the date, there is little to detract from conversation points as clearly there is an assumed interest. |
