Post subject:  Do you believe in friendship between a man and a woman?
Hi, I would like to know if you believe in a friendship between a man and a woman?

In the last years, I met a few girls that interested me at first. Most of the time, it finishes as if we were friends and after a while we dont contact each other anymore.

Should I forget about being friend with girls and instead look at guys for the friendship thing or should I try to include a few girls in my friendship circle?

I have one or two close friends that are girls. I don't find them attractive however. If she brings some value into my life even if I'm not interested in her sexually then yes, it can definitely work. However when it comes to girls I'm attracted to, my mindset has changed to either everything sexually or nothing at all. If I am attracted I am attracted, and there's nothing that can change that. I don't see the point in being friends with a girl I would like to pursue, it's like opting for the lower option. I want to get to know her both on a personal AND sexual level.

I never believed in friendships between men and women- I always thought that if two people don't have any sexual interest in each other, they'd rather spend time with their own sex since they are probably more similar.

Recently, however, I've been more than enjoying spending time with this girl I have absolutely no sexual interest in. We just kick it and have a good time. Then again, we're really similar in how we see the world.

Moreover, interpersonal reward/cost aspects of social penetration theory say that as long as we see that ANY relationship leads to more rewards than costs in the future, we are willing to keep it and continue interacting. After every interaction, we subconsciously reevaluate the reward/cost model. So I would think yes, guys and girls can be friends.

I think only gay ppl can be friends with HB's beause people tend to become friends with those they have simliar interests, and all HBs are interested in some home décor, cooking, theater, weddings and all that chick stuff, I mean if you talk about shit like that you're probably gay.

I've plenty of female friends, some of them I would do, some of them I wouldn't. I do however agree somewhat with Nietzsche who said: "A woman may very well form a friendship with a man, but for this to endure, it must be assisted by a little physical antipathy." If you interact with an attractive woman very regularly, you will want to be more than friends.

I'd have to say no. My philosophy is that eventually one or both will eventually fall for each other. 99.65161616% of the time. Then you get out of your game, you're caught up being a chump and chasing her or some shit like that.
