Ok, so a girl I went on a really long (like 6 hour) date and slept with about a week, week and a half ago, I did some really weak text game with. I acted like I had it in the bag, which I shouldn't have, and acted all unguarded. Think I may have even come off as needy, because I actually liked this girl. Basically I didn't act like myself, which is a bit cocky and making a lot of jokes. Last two times I contacted her, I told her I was going to tell her a funny story. She responded slowly, but she was responding. I told her I couldn't tell her tonight, I was out (which was accurate). She said she was too, after I did, and that she would listen to my story the next day. (She did so sorta curtly, as in "Oh, you'll have to listen to my story tomorrow." "Deal.") (This was on Wednesday) So, I decide to be funny - this idea came to me when I was bored at work, I threw the first part in Fresh Prince lyrics - I thought it would be funny. This was apparently a mistake, I got no response back - perhaps too much investment into the joke. I sorta put her out of my mind for a few days - went out on Wednesday (day I mentioned the story) and Friday. I sent the Fresh Prince text on Thursday. We have not talked since then. What's the best way to recover this? Should I let it sit longer? Four days seems enough to sorta "reset" the text situation I'd think. I wasn't SO BAD that completely changing my behavior wouldn't get her interested again. I've also clearly been going out and posted this to FB. |

I fucked uP sufficiently poorly that a mere invite alone won't likely work. A little pulling and pushing should help. Apparently it's her birthday today do even more reason to reesyablidh communication. |

I realized I was being a pussy and trying to not just man up and take my lumps, and this girl is DEFINITELY not into that. The sad thing is that I do so much better in person with this stuff. I texted her poorly on her birthday, called her a senior citizen, sent her another text telling her it was cool, welcome to the club. She responded very slightly. Then today I was just like, "Fuck it, I'm going to tell her where we're going and what we're doing" I told her "Birthday beer. British pub down the street. 7." She said "Mine or yours?" I told her "Yours. I don't celebrate my birthday. And fuck you for thinking I was 28."(I'm 27 and will be until July). She responded well to this, and has been texting me since then, and is texting me now. She did say she already had plans with her girlfriends for Thusday. Still, seemed to work. I need to take leadership more with text game. I nearly lost this one AFTER I had fucked her. Bad form on my part. She's invested again though now and texting me regularly. |
