So I will admit it. I have contracted one-itis . For context: I met this girl at a party and probably exchanged a couple words with her. A week later I find her on facebook and send her a quick message and a friend request. She did not remember even meeting me. We started talking though and hit it off immediately and turns out we have similar problems in life. After that first convo, she started saturating her messages with smileys and actually initiated most of our convos since. 2 nights ago (i fucked up here as well) i give her my # and say txt me soon. No response on FB. She texted me at 8am the following day. Last night we talked again and found out that she is an insomniac like me (my insomnia was unknown to her when i gave her my number) and it turns out she didn't sleep at all that night. I deduced that she waited all night to text me so I'd be awake to receive it. Anyways, I had a quick exchange this morning with the HB9 I'm into and it goes like this: 7:17(her): hey sorry i fell asleep on you, i didnt sleep the night before so i slept last night. 7:55(me): hey its no problem ill call you later today kay [never called her before; was trying to move forward in progress] 8:30(her): alright sounds good end convo I was busy all day, so I call her at around 5. four rings and voicemail. i assumed she was working so i left a message saying ill try again later. at 9:30, i try again and full rings + voicemail. i didnt leave a message. no contact since and i know shes been on her phone since. What do y'all think about this? Is it salvageable? Don't tell me to move on because I'm pretty much over it (detached emotions from situation). My plan is to just go radio-silent until she contacts me. Or should I text her? what should I say? |

Well looks like you were off to a good start... Just because she didn't sleep that night, doesn't mean she was ignoring you. You were probably over-thinking it. But when she starts avoiding you like that, doesn't mean you've fucked up. What happens next is what separates the boys from the men. You need to show you aren't needy, and don't need her. She blew you off so you need to wait until she contacts you again... And there's a good chance she will unless another guy is working to get in her pants -- or already is in her pants. |

Dont reply to her, sort of ignore her, if she messages, wait couple hours/day to answer, and do the same on cellphone. Tell her she missed out on an event which you were trying to get her to come to, and that it was a blast bla bla bla, make up a good lie and make it sound like it was awseome without her. Make her know that you dont need her or anything. What you been doing so far feels needy to me and lets her toy with you... so you have to turn the tables |

Thanks for the reassurance over the start. I didn't think she was ignoring me that night, I thought that she texted me in the morning to make sure I got the message because she didn't know I was going to be up all night as well haha. There is a new development that i am concerned about however. I went on facebook a few minutes ago because I went too big on Monster today and am currently hella bored. I saw a status by her and she seems super occupied with some 'next big thing' idea she had with her pre existing friends so I don't know if she will contact me soon if ever due to this pre occupation and excitement over it. I am seriously considering texting her to try and kick start the previous interest in me, but I don't want to seem desperate. Apologies if this is awkward to read, but I'm grizzin' super hard right now and typing is a bit difficult haha.

Stop looking at her FB and over-analyzing her every activity. As boyakasha highlighted, ignore her and find your own "next big thing." Show her you don't need to reply right away either... Because you're busy and have more important things to take care of than reply to a broad who blows off your call. |

You guys are 100% right. Especially in regards to Fly_Swatter's last sentence. She better call me if she wants to keep talking to me in the future. And I wasn't stalking her or anything, I was just scrolling my feed.
