Any of you had this problem? I am not only facing it in my PUA adventures, but also in real life. It is quite often when I chat up a girl online and she seems interested, but I don't know what to say, and she's not helping. In fact, this is the only thing that keeps me from a few horny girls I have on Facebook. How do I solve that?

It's not like I'm shy, either. Also, if she's interested in PC games or something like that, I can keep a good conversation for hours. However, I am pretty much out of things to say after the opener. How can I open a group and stay with them for 10 minutes while mostly ignoring the target and winning their respect, if I can't even do this successfully with my friends in real life? Are there any routines I can simply memorize?

You need to learn how to have normal conversations. You can only memorize so much material. Having some scripted stuff is awesome, and I highly suggest it, but you cannot write hundreds of hours of dialog to memorize and spout off to your girlfriend.

If you can talk about video games for hours, it's fairly plain that you know how to converse. You just aren't interested in talking about the weather and your exams. The good news is, neither is she. Talk about what interests you and tell her you want to know what interests her. The same way you can go on for hours about video games, she can likely go on for hours about animal rights activism or whatever.

If video games are your only interest in life, then find some girl who is equally obsessed with gaming.

The issue is that I often find everyone contributing to the conversation, except myself. It's like I'm introverted or something, I do well only on 1-1 conversations, but even then sometimes I can't think of anything to say. This sometimes happens when the topic of discussion is something of interest to me.

Here's what works for me.

If a group of people are talking about a subject I have little interest for, I start making little movies in my head of what is going on. For example, if people are talking about their work, say lab work, chances are its boring. How would it go if I was in their shoes? What would I do? What mischief would I cause? Label the beakers upside down or freeze peoples lunches with liquid nitrogen? Popsicle tuna sandwich ... I'd push it off on the person who brought up that boring subject in the first place.

When they are laughing, time to change the subject.

Hope this helps,
Al
